My starfish cactus has blossomed 🌵🧡
A few days ago I told you in one of my posts that we found that one of our cactus had a huge bud. I researched its name thanks to the Google image search engine and I found that it is called starfish cactus.
On the internet it said that its flower had a horrible smell and the truth since I read this I didn't know what to expect. Here is a picture of what it looked like that day. It was a big green bud. You had to wait for the flower to open to know what color it was going to be. I had seen pictures of some that were red and I was hoping it would be like that.
Yesterday finally the flower opened and the truth I thought it was super ugly hahaha I don't know why it reminds me of the monsters that appear in the last of us series 🥴😂.
The rotten smell thing is totally true, I perceived it being so close to take the picture of it but it's not something that permeates the environment terribly.
But well it's part of nature and the truth those cactus look super cute to me, they are soft and have no thorns which is the best thing. It is a succulent type cactus. The only bad thing is their horrible flower hahaha but otherwise I like them a lot.
I saw that there were other small buds and I'm about to rip them off honestly hahaha but relax. I'll let nature take its course. There are still people who like them and that's why I wanted to share the pictures with you. My husband at least liked it a lot.
Hace unos días les comenté en uno de mis post que encontramos que uno de nuestros cactus tenía un enorme capullo. Investigué su nombre gracias al buscador de imágenes de Google y me encontré que se le da el nombre de cactus estrella de mar.
En internet decía que su flor tenía un olor horrible y la verdad desde que leí esto no sabía que esperar. Acá les dejo la foto de como estaba ese día. Era un capullo grande y verde. Había que esperar que la flor abriera para saber de que color iba a ser. Habuanvisto fotos de unas que eran rojas y esperaba que fuera así.
Ayer finalmente la flor abrió y la verdad me pareció súper fea jajaja no sé porqué me recuerda a los mounstros que salen en la serie last of us. 🥴😂
Lo del olor a podrido es totalmente cierto, lo percibí al estar tan cerca para tomarle la foto pero no es algo que impregne terriblemente el ambiente.
Pero bueno es parte de la naturaleza y la verdad esos cactus me parecen súper lindos, son suavecitos y no tienen espinas que es lo mejor. Es un cactus tipo suculenta. Lo único malo es su horrible flor jajaja pero de resto me gustan mucho.
Vi que habían otros capullos pequeños y estoy que los arranco sinceramente jajaja pero tranquilos. Dejaré que la naturaleza siga su curso. Igual hay personas que les gusta y por eso quise compartir con ustedes las fotos. A mi esposo por lo menos le gustó mucho.
