Office day — a lot of it

A lot of office work filled most of the day. The kind that keeps you seated and the step counter unusually quiet. The doggy walk at midday was the only meaningful break in a long stretch at the desk.

Afternoon and evening — taxiing in the hail

The afternoon and late evening were spent taxiing my son to an event and back home. Rain was pouring hard, with hail at times — not easy conditions on the road. The kind of driving that demands full attention and gives you nothing in return except relief when you're done. Behind the wheel, your feet don't count as steps.

Day 10 of June. The bar was set at 10,000 steps. The final count stopped at 6,900 — the second fail of the month. Not enough movement, not enough motivation. Two misses in a row, and this one came from a mix of office hours, hail, and being a chauffeur instead of a mover.

Still not the end of the month. Still not a reason to stop. The next day is always a new start.
