Reflections of a moment.

Hello community, it's been a while since I've been here, but today with camera in hand I went out to the street without expecting the moments of retrospective that I found. My camera witnessed fleeting scenes that made me think for a moment how life happens before our eyes. To begin this trip I visited a friend at his house and when I arrived he was with a cigarette, his expression as he took his first puff was one of total relaxation, lost in his thoughts. I approached him slowly, and almost without him noticing I took some shots, because that expression of relaxation and introspection could only be captured at the right moment, with a shot.

As I left his house, I continued my journey and came across an acquaintance waiting his turn in line at the bank, his gaze lost in nothingness. I approached him and we began to talk, and when I asked him if I could take his portrait he agreed. I managed to capture his reflective look on the passage of time in that wait.

As I rounded the corner I came upon two people simply watching the others pass by, each immersed in their thoughts.

I walked back home, satisfied with the reflections I had managed to capture and now share in my photographs. It is undoubtedly true that photography is a means to stop time and transmit what makes us think about life.

You have some nice shots here and monochrome is the best in these cases I suppose as it shifts the focus on the details.

I also see you're not commenting much. Engagement is key on Hive, it can have a number of benefits, so you may want to work on it.

Thank you for the comment. I agree with you that the use of monochrome can highlight the details of an image. It is always a personal choice, but it is a good way to highlight the beauty of an image.
