Talent Has No Age Limit

Today I'd like to show you the rest of the photos from the art exhibition, where the 11th grader exhibited their work. There are a few of you who have enjoyed my previous posts about the exhibition and most likely you didn't expect, what's coming today. You're going to be surprised, but don't take my word for it, see it for yourself.

Talent Has No Age Limit.jpg

At first I thought it's their year end work, their exam work, but many of them have several paintings, so most likely it's a product of a year or more. Anyway, let's get started, shall we?

20250610_111720a.jpg

In my previous posts, we agreed that colorful is one of the keyword we can use when describing the paintings and this goes for all of them, without exception. This portrait is colorful as well, but if you can put aside the colors and look at the lady's portrait, you can see how lifelike it is. Look at that posture, her look and her face. It's amazing in my opinion.

20250610_111730a.jpg

Here the background is a bit too colorful for me, too much if you like but if you focus on the portrait, you see the value. Look at those features, the light and shadows. I'd say everything is at its place. Love the determined look of the guy.

20250610_111740a.jpg

This is the third painting, portrait with somehow similar background, like it would be quarrel and I have to ask if this was a requirement or their individual choice. This is a rhetorical question as no one is going to answer it, so let's focus on the portrait, which is a very good one. Look at her eyes and her look. It looks so natural and the whole face is so lifelike. At least that's how I see it.

20250610_111750a.jpg

My first thought here was, it looks like a fairy tale, maybe a fairy in the woods?

20250610_111800a.jpg

Again, look at the face, look at the eyes and tell me there's no talent here. Look at the light on the model. I wish I could paint something similar, as quality is concerned, but not in this lifetime.

20250610_111809a.jpg

Here's a different one, I'd say from a different century as well. I'd place the model in the middle ages, where kings and queens were ruling. I don't know if the second face is a reflection in the mirror as mirrors appeared late and were only available for the wealthy ones, but the concept it great and the execution is lovely as well. I love how the painter chose the colors, those orange-brown shades go exceptionally well with the blue-dark purple. One thing to note, the main face is so light, while the second is orange, to highlight the main one. Excellent idea.

20250610_111816a.jpg

I bet if you'd hang this painting in The Louvre or Musée d’Orsay, not many would know this was not painted by a famous, 18th, 19th century painter. I'm running out of words here, but this is absolutely brilliant. Look at the face of the young lady and if you look carefully, you can see the geometric light crossing the lady's face and body. This is new to me, as I've never seen anything like this. I suppose the painter had the dame assignment as the previous ones, but she chose to make it soft and light. I'd be really happy to own this.

20250610_111832a.jpg

I remember last year there was a painting that I wanted to buy, but again, who has space for all the paintings they like, right?

20250610_111843a.jpg

Maybe looking at them one next to the other can give you an idea about their talent. Which one would you choose from here? I already revealed my choice :)

20250610_111852a.JPG

Look at this photo. I was standing there and looking at the paintings, just like last year and the year before. So much talent at a very young age!

20250610_111909a.JPG

At this point I tend to believe, the assignment was to paint something geometrical and from another century, from the past of course, not the future. The top one looks very religious, which is a first as the previous ones were not indicating religious sides, or I misread them.

The bottom one looks like a scene from a movie, who's action takes place in the Middle Ages. Look at the faces and the geometrical slides of the face on the left. I'd love to have this on my wall as well,I think I would look at it all day, but again ... pain, pain, pain. But at least I have the photos and can revisit them every time I want.

I thought I can post them all today, but I underestimated the amount left, so stay tuned as there will be another post coming, with the rest of the beauties left. They deserve to be immortalized on the blockchain.

Let's see what you think about these paintings and let me know if you have a favorite. Waiting patiently :))

I do like your choice and I think it shows the most emotion out of all the portraits, but my favorite (by a narrow margin) is the double face portrait. I am trying to figure out if the front/light face is the true face, or simply the one she allows the world to see? These are really good for 11th graders! I am impressed!

The double face portrait is amazing too and makes you wonder what that double face means of what the artist has meant with it.

Many times it's the second, the one in the shadow and that we don't always see in real life.

I'd say these paintings are amazing for that young age.

I think so as well, except for actors and other very famous people. With those you only get to see what they present to the world yet in private could be literal monsters. I've heard it said that everyone has three faces....one presented to the world, one shown only to our loved ones, and the last one...the inner one shown to no one, only known to ourselves.

when i seen this before even reading your description i tought like "thats from Da Vinci time" and you wrote the same! it seems to have been taken from the past and brought there

this one is my favorite, but tough choice, i wonder what will they do in the next 10 years if they already do that well?

the common thing is that they all look at a side, like contemplating or deep in toughts

Seeing so many portraits from those times (figuratively of course, as these were painted recently) makes me think this was the assignment and they did great, all of them.

You picked two amazing ones, I'd love to have them both and your question is valid, I'd love to know where they will be in 10 years, but having my post on the blockchain gives me the advantage of knowing their names and maybe I can come across their work in the future, who knows?

That's true... You could also buy one or two, if the author becomes famous you will have the first works!

A good investment but where you put them? Space, space, space.

Not quite 😜 I've inherited a lot of paintings, a part is stored as it's not my style and I bought some ... but ... maybe one day, when I buy another flat, can have some 😆

They show different expressions and use styles of strokes to make it everyone appealing or attractive. This kinds of paintings i love.

It is so difficult to paint faces both from the front and from the side, the shadows that are created, depending on the posture, the lighting, the colours... and here I must say that they are very well done, they are all excellent, because I look at the shadows on the neck and they are very good, the expressions in the eyes, the looks, the eyebrows that convey moods and the mouth, which is not always easy to do... Seeing this made me want to start painting again. I haven't painted all summer because it takes so many hours and the heat discouraged me. I'll start again soon.

Now I'm looking at the painting of the two faces, thinking about the aura... and then I think I saw the angel, I see an angel there.

And this is my favourite, a woman united with the wonder of the universe, the features are perfect and the fusion of the hair with the background. I would have it! Yes!

I'm so happy to read your comment as you're an artist, not amateur like us. And I'm glad you find them valuable. The amount of talent I saw here was amazing.

I hope you can start painting again. Heat is a problem indeed, it affects creativity quite a lot, but I had air conditioning this year, so I can't complain.

You picked a nice one.

At the moment I don't have air conditioning, so it was stifling at times. I preferred to go for walks when it was cooler, but I promise I'll start painting again. I love it!🤗🤗

Such impressive talent at such a young age. The artworks show not only technique but also great sensitivity and creativity. It’s inspiring to see how they manage to convey so much emotion in each painting. 🎨✨

Exactly! They showed what they are capable of and this is just a beginning.

I like the art #3 and #5. Aside from their beautiful faces, they look innocent and seem to be asking questions from afar, I also like the way they are painted so naturally.

Wow, this painting is amazing! I can’t believe an 11th grader made this. The colors and details look so cool. Really shows that talent can shine at any age. Thanks for sharing this!
