art is one of those things that I have always aspired to be good at but always kind of failed.

You and me both. I've tried drawing, which seems to be the closest and maybe the easiest, or should I say less complicated. I have no talent, but I think I could learn drawing. The problem is time and I don't see why I should spend weeks, months on something that I'm not going to use.
