Fresh Paint & The Story
Yesterday I needed to pay my bank a visit, to sort some things out and after that, I went to my favorite art gallery and visited two exhibitions as last week they inaugurated the new ones. These exhibitions last two weeks and then comes a new one and there are two levels, so each month I have 4 exhibitions, for free. Yes, I know, I'm lucky.
Before I start the story, a mandatory photo of this place, which I always take as I can't resist temptation. Look at this place. How can you not take a photo each time? I just love it, but let's get to the story I want to share with you.
The title of my posts says Fresh Paint and it is for a good reason. At this exhibition you could see paintings made by the eleventh grade art school students. Every year they get a chance to exhibit their work for free in this gallery, which is a fantastic chance for them.
When I stepped in the gallery, I could smell the smell of fresh paint and was thinking of the saying: You smell like fresh paint, which is used to describe rookies, or rookie cops. The saying applies here very well, and it is true from every point of view as there was fresh paint and the painters were rookies too as they are at the beginning of their (potential) career as an artist.
This gallery is open from Monday to Friday between 9am to 1pm, which is why there's no crowd, unless you go on Thursday afternoon, when the openings are held. So I can say, I rarely meet anyone and that's exactly what I want, to be able to take photos as I please.
Yesterday I heard there was someone else in the gallery and at some point, an old gentleman came towards me and asked me if he's the only one bothered by the poor light. I told him I can turn on the light for him, which I happily did. Then the old gentleman stopped in front of a certain painting and told me, his granddaughter has painted that. I don't know if you can understand the emotional side of the story. Imagine the grandfather standing in front of a painting in a gallery, painted by his granddaughter. You should have seen the face of the man. I'm not going to tell you which painting it was though, let's respect their privacy, but I'm going to show you many interesting and lovely paintings.
The beauty of the exhibition was that there were no titles, none of the painting had a title, so they let the viewers play the guessing game. When I saw this landscape, my first thought was Vincent Van Gogh, for the evident brush strokes and the colors. A bit more yellow at the grass part would have brought the painting closed to Van Gogh, but this wasn't the intention, this is just something I was thinking of.
Some bird and the long wings symbolizes power? You tell me.
I'm guessing this is a gulch, or could be one, with the vegetation that sometimes comes with these and the light getting weaker the deeper you go.
Looking at the paintings, I was wondering what was the topic they were given, or if there was a topic at all and so was the grandfather, but as I look at the paintings, I can say still life (you'll see later) and maybe music?
This painting made me think as for a moment I seemed to recognize this building, but at a closer look, I had to admit, it wasn't the same as the building I thought of. Maybe some parts are like the original and some parts are fictional, but it's a nice one.
If I were to say one word about the artworks here, that would be colorful. I've never seen paintings this colorful, but it's not a bad thing at all. This is the time for them to experiment and try to find their way to a certain style.
Tell me what do you think about these paintings and if you have a favorite.

The light looks really good in that piece with mountains.
I'm glad you like it.
Why on earth are you downvoting my posts please? What wrong have I ever done to you? You whales on the space just fell you can do anything anyhow to anyone you please.
You have never upvoted me and I don't even need it. If you won't upvote me, you should go away and not downvote my posts.
I work tirelessly to make reasonable posts and we all are on this space to earn and make a living. Why taking from people who are still struggling to make peanuts here when you can't give anything to them?
Please allow reasonable people to vote me in peace. Please and please, I'm not on this space for you. Leave my blog alone!!!
We've been through this, I'm not going to tell you again.
Not only to me, but the chain too, plenty.
You don't even know what a whale means.
I will never upvote you and I don't give a shit about what you need.
That's not how it works. You don't tell me who I vote or downvote.
No, you don't work tirelessly, you don't make reasonable posts, you just steal other people's content, make posts no one is ever interested in, you don't reply to the very few comments left on your posts and you only comment on posts that potentially grant you some upvotes.
I don't owe you anything, Hive doesn't owe you anything. You had the chance to earn like any decent user, but you chose to abuse it for years, piece of shit that you are.
I have never stopped anyone from voting you.
I don't give a shit why you are here, but you're not going to abuse the reward pool.
I don't take orders from you, that's not how it works!
You can also update your profile, change content creator into content thief and you can also add POSH!
Have a nice day!
What's your business with my comments and who I comment under??? Who made you my monitoring spirit, you bitter soul?
How many people have you replied on your own blog page? You're just spitting nonsense that doesn't make a single sense.
Too much suppression because you want to control things the way you like. Hive is a public space where everyone chips in from various parts of the world.
Nevermind, you can turn Hive into your food, chew it and choke on it. Good riddance to bad rubbish you piece of shit! God is bigger than you.
😂 Now you found God? Where was your God when you stole content from others repeatedly? Good luck with this shit.
I do not steal contents, my contents are real and genuine, you're just being purely bitter and evil!.. and yes, I know God, thats why I don't meddle in other people's businesses, unlike you.
You must have a screw loose, but no worries, there's plenty of evidence of your plagiarism.
If I have one screw lose, then you have all your screws lose lol for you to make yourself a monitoring spirit sent to torment and frustrate people.
I have always been on my own on this Hive, no issues. Its not like I even make up to $10 montly here or that I don't have other things I do with my life, I just stayed to to keep posting for the love of Hive. But you all always frustrate everyone you come across. I guess thats your calling. Keep at it. I leave you to God. Like I said, remain here, eat Hive and swallow it up. I'm out of here.
Bye.

@oredebby, there's a message here for you ☝️
It's such a beautiful story, so beautiful! What could be more prideful than looking at your granddaughter's painting, how exciting! What a wonderful opportunity for students to exhibit their work, and also for the gallery to change its art exhibitions so often. I feel the same way, with three galleries here.
My favourite... my favourite... the violin, I love the violin, and the last one is also beautiful. What a beautiful art exhibition, music could indeed have been the theme.
Yeah, I've never met a relative of any artist at an exhibition, but I can tell you, it's a unique feeling, to see the pride on their faces.
You picked two interesting ones :) Stay tuned for the rest, coming soon.
What a lovely moment you had. I'll be watching!🤗
i liked the green one nwn, all of these are so vibrant !
Yes, I think vibrant is the right word.
Me seeing the violin... and then the trumpet... and where are the piano keys? 😁
😆 There's a piano in the exhibition room and every time I see it, I'm thinking of you. I see you there, lurking around the piano, not resisting the urge of trying it out 🤣
Ok, seriously, let's see if the rest of the paintings have a piano key. I'll tag you 😎
All the paintings are so beautiful. I especially love the one with the bird!
I'm glad you have a favorite.
I like the first landscape and the violin (I think its a violin). Great story of the grandfather 🙂 and btw I agree that the gallery is a pretty space.
It is a violin.
Yes, it is the top floor of the building, it's basically a mansard and usually is home to photo exhibitions, but paintings too. It's a lovely place.
I like the orange painting with all the musical instruments, and also the very last one. Love the colours but not sure what the artist is trying to say, all nice though🤗
Interesting choices. The orange with the instruments is my favorite too. I don't understand the last one, but I'm glad you like it. 🤗
That first photo instantly made me pause, I can totally see why you always take a picture there! The lighting and the calmness of the space give it such a nostalgic vibe. I'd probably do the same every time I visited too 😄
Some people think I'm crazy, but that doorway or what you want to call it is so interesting, always calling my name. And whenever I visit, there are different paintings or photos on the wall and the roof windows are maybe differently open or closed, which gives a different light.
Shhh, don't tell anyone, but I'm glad I'm not the only lunatic with this obsession 🤣
I envy what those eleventh grade student can do. they even already do an exhitibion.
I remember I was struggling a lot jsut to do my art teacher drawing homework.
hahah
I envy their talent too, and imagine where they are going to be in a few years.
😆 I can imagine you sweating. I went to a technical school, so we had technical drawing, like engineers do and I was quite good at it, but I think I would have struggled otherwise, like you 🤣
I saw the fifth post of long-winged birds. This bird is similar to the symbol of my country, which is called the Garuda bird. almost all the same, I just saw the picture of the bird.
Thank you very much my friend for sharing again.
Have a nice day:))
Aww, thank you @asklanbudi for clarifying this. I know some countries have birds as symbols, but God knows which one has which bird. It's good to know and we all learn something every day. You too have a nice day.
This artist is also different and good, I love color!
The bird reminds me of Klee's Angelus Novus, and Walter Benjamin's ramblings about it.
Reading it now gives me goosebumps, after all these years.
It is one of my favourite interpretations of any piece of Art I've ever read, and has such powerful imagery that evokes. I know it is clearly a bird, but this quote immediately came to mind when I saw the image.
Not something I would easily forget, or may just be me pushing my own contextual meaning and love of this Klee / Benjamin interaction but this reminded me of that, which makes my Saturday morning nice and cheerful! :D
