Fair At The Flower Exhibition
Last weekend I visited a flower exhibition, that I wrote about here. This was my first flower exhibition, hope not the last, but I loved it. The level of artistry the creators exhibited was amazing. Flowers can never be boring, but combined with high level creativity, it can become art.
Next to the flower exhibition, there was a fair as well. Once people are at the exhibition, you can be sure they are going to visit the fair too and this is how it should be. This point of attraction was on my list too, as how can you not go see what they are selling.
I was expecting nothing less, than to see a lot of autumn flowers, among which the well known Erika flower. Yes, my name comes from a flower and it's of German origin. I love this flower, not because it wears my name (or I am wearing its name? 😆), but because it's simple, humble and resists under cold temperatures as well.
There were other flowers too, among which, the lovely chrysanthemums, that have their season now.
Seeds can not be missing, if the fair is about flowers. It's the end of the gardening season here as the cold is settling in slowly, but planning ahead is what gardeners do and you can never be to early, not to mention that bulbs you plant during autumn. I was tempted to go closer and look around to buy some seeds, but I didn't. I don't know what I'm going to do next year, so it would be early for me to buy now.
This was really the area I was interested in, as I'm planning to grow some succulents for spring, but as expected, they wanted an arm and a leg for the one I was planning to buy. The key secret here is, that renting a space for 3 days here costs a fortune and the fee is ultimately paid by the buyers as prices reflect the fee. It's a no brainer and I also know I can get everything way cheaper if I go to the nursery and buy there, so in these places I usually just look around, gather information and that is all. However, what they have on display here was really beautiful.
Same thing here but they already have pumpkins. I loved these decorations.
I don't know if they were on sale, but even so, no pumpkin resists indefinitely so you would throw it away in a month (best case scenario).
These flower compositions are always calling my name and am always admiring them, but the price ...
Apart from flowers and plants of all kinds, they had handmade jewellery, all kinds of flowers made of silk, paper, you name it.
Lavender can't be missing from such an event, but as I can't stand the smell, what I do is take a quick photo and move on as quickly as I can. Purple is not my color and I hate the smell, but these products are nice.
More goodies for every taste and for a selected budget.
This is the Erika (or Erica) flower again. I hope one day I can have a bike like that, full of flowers in front of my house.
Dry flowers can't be missing obviously.
So many are having dry flowers during winter. Those bouquets were lovely.
I went for the flowers, but this was the stall where I stopped to buy something. they had some kitschy products as well, but the coaster you see on the left were calling my name.
These were 2 euro each and after looking for every piece, I came home with two saying:
- Remember when I asked for your opinion? Yeah, me neither
- Life is good. You should get one
These were the two I liked the most and as are so colorful, I thought I'd use them in the study.
Dried and healthy products also have a place here as these are mostly plants.
Juices, fresh and bottled. I love these, but the truth is, even if they don't have added sugar, they still contain some as fruits have sugar. But they look nice and once in a while you can have a bottle or two.
Last, but not least, the highlight of the fair and the most beautiful thing I saw were these dry flower bouquets. These were 10 euros per bouquet and now i feel bad for not buying one. Wrapped in those brown papers/newspapers, looked really lovely.

I didn't know flower fairs existed. How beautiful! I'd love to go to one.
They do. Look around, maybe you can find one nearby.
Wowww what a beautiful flower fair ♥️ and the erika flower is quiet unique also
It is unique, it's not like any other flower.
A flower fair! What a beautiful and rewarding thing.
It is, it's quite a unique experience.
You probably didn’t want to just get the flowers because you weren’t sure of what to do with it after the admiration dies down. It’s a beautiful one indeed.
Everywhere is looking so bright and the sun made it look even nicer.

@hopestylist here!
Nope, that's not it. My admiration will never die down. But these dry flowers collect dust and after a few months you have to throw them away as there's no way to keep them clean and look awful, plus the color is going away too.
Oh! I knew you had a good reason for not getting them. Good thing they are saved in photographs and you can admire them from time to time.
Yeah, maybe next time I'll buy one, but it's heartbreaking to throw them out.
How long can they last?
They can last long, but the dryer, the more chance to break in pieces, when touched. So after some time, you need to handle them with care.
Hahahaha this one is very good!
Are succulents really that expensive there? Here at fair it's 1,50€ each for small ones, I have quite a lot, I should share a picture with you since you like them...
I've been to a fair too recently, I'm about to publish a post tomorrow
Here a small one is €2, but I would need several. But I decided to go to the nursery, buy one and grow it, then I'll have several.
Can't wait to see your post 😎
Oh from one I got many too, let it grow a little and then cut a small branch and keep going
I'll tag you then if you don't mind
Please do 😎
done 😄
Thank you!

That flower fair must be calling you in the first place. You are wearing the name of one of their flowers so that's why you stumbled upon that place. Is this an intervention?... I love the flowers featured on the fair. I like best the dried flowers, they symbolize perseverance to me. I love buying flowers that are dried and seldom buy fresh ones. And the art you also posted, the ones in calligraphy and doodles, made the experiences unique. Not only you saw flowera that day but also other for of arts.
Nope, I knew about this fair and has been planned well in advance. This flower is very common, you find it almost everywhere in Europe, during this period of the year.
I don't understand what you mean here.
That was a really beautiful flower exhibition. It was the first time I saw a flower with your name on it. It was even more attractive because there were other products besides flowers.
It was beautiful indeed. There were so many lovely flowers 💐
I fully agree with your criteria, the bouquets of dried flowers are undoubtedly the most beautiful thing of the fair, although there are other really lovely things. Thanks for sharing, greetings.
There were so many lovely flowers you could hardly choose, but this is what happens at every fair basically.
Hello Erika, that's beautiful. I don't know how many hours it would take me to make that display. I love flowers.
Hello to you too. Yes, it takes time and skills too. But you can always learn.
I would love this exhibition :) :) thanks for sharing
Maybe you can find one where you live...
It's one of those places where I could have spent hours looking around and browsing, but not buying anything because the prices are so high! That usually happens.
A plant and flower with your name on it, that's great! And I love succulents... I want the owl coaster... and this image stole my heart... how beautiful!🤗

It was really difficult to take photos as the light was really strong and I could not see what I'm shooting, so it was more based on experience and feeling.
Yes, the bike surrounded by flowers was my favorite too and the coasters 😍
I often have problems with light, especially when I take photos of the sea. The sun reflects so strongly on it that I can't see anything. I just take photos and then choose the best ones. There's no other option, ha ha ha.
That fair is wonderful... You don't like lavender? I'm not crazy about it either, but I love chrysanthemums.
I can't stand lavender

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The dry bouquets are so lovely, I’d feel the same regret not buying one.
Looks like these bouquets are the winners today :)
I've never been to a flower exhibition before, but now I kinda wanna go! Those dry flower bouquets are giving serious Pinterest vibes.
Fingers crossed you can find one where you live as these are beautiful.
So many of the commenters like the bouquets 😃
They are beautiful, thank you for sharing this post, it is beautiful.
I'm glad you like it.
Yes, I really like your photos.
It is interesting this Flower Fair, nature always gives us magnificent specimens to admire, their shapes and colors make them quite striking. It was very curious the flower with your name, a find worth remembering, I think I will not find one with mine 😅.
I see the prices kept you away from shopping, at least you were able to take two cup holders with reflections that are even funny 😜.
It was a great experience after all.
You really captured not just the flowers but the artistry and creativity behind every display. Those dry flower bouquets are stunning!😍
