Enjoying A New Photo Exhibition
It's been almost a month since I visited this photo exhibition and with all the things happening, I had no time to post about it, so today is the day to see some photos from professionals, or let's say from photographers that are not at my level.

Before I start, I'd like to show you some photos I took at the gallery.

These are statuettes on the hallway, property of the gallery, most likely gifted by artists of bought by the gallery over the years and moved around depending on how the space is used. Even though the statues are the same, every time they get a new position or location, they look different, or the scene, the photo looks different. So here it is, the photo of today :)

Here's another one. I love these three ladies and admire them every time I walk up the stairs to the gallery.
And the necessary photo that I always have to take. Yes, I'm obsessed with this type of narrowing spaces, ways and this one is a perfect one to photograph. What changes here every time is the light, or the intensity of light and the paintings, or photos on the wall.

Ecosystem
This was a solo exhibition of Alpár Czire, and all the photos were black and white, which is not quite rare. Many photo artists chose to present their short in monochrome and you can see why. The short answer is, to focus on what's important. Without colors, your eye is drawn instantly to the little girl in the center of the photo and in the middle of the resting cows. Her petting the cows suggests to me that she's used to them as otherwise you can't really do that. Cows are suspicious and every time you approach them, they don't take their eyes off you. A lovely photo.

Turn
My dream is to be able to take such a photo one day, which seems a bit impossible for several reasons. First of all, to find such deep snow you have to go high up to the mountains. The other "ingredient" you need is a village man with a chariot pulled by two beautiful horses.

Dog lovers are going to condemn me for what I'm going to write now, but this is the truth. The photo you see above, or the scene to be precise, is about opposites, in my opinion. You can see the man with the horse pulled chariot and a little dog. What does not fit in the photo in a certain sense is the little dog, which you only find as pets in cities, not in the countryside. Again, no offense :) I'm just stating the obvious here. Village people love dogs and you find one in every household, most of the time the dog is the man's best friend, but those are not purebred dogs. Regardless, the photo is superb.
The joke here is, the photo is naked "Bear Chaser" and that would be this little cutie pie dog 😆

Ran Out Thread
This photo tells you a lot, if you can "read it". The man, most likely, have spent all his life at that working station, sewing what appears to be leather. Not an easy work, trust me, but it can grant you your bread.

Look who I met in the gallery! The cleaning "guy"! 😂

Blind In The Light
I would call this photo "Simple Life" and that is exactly what it shows. I think these photos are becoming testimony of the past, soon. With these people's passing, this lifestyle is going to die as well, so imagine the value.

Painkiller
The title meant to be funny and it is in a way, but it's a bitter funniness. When alcohol is the only cure of pain, loneliness ... you can imagine.

Shepherd's Canonical Hours
I'm not sure the translation gives you back the original meaning, but it means shepherds have their daily duties, such as the activity you see on the photo, working the milk, making cheese. Look at how the light is filtering through the wooden boards.
These exhibitions are always exceptional as you are introduced to a world that is disappearing and I can fully appreciate it, but in the same time I'm grateful I have a different, easier life.

Wow wonderful pictures in that exhibit! Such a great use of the subject matter and monochrome to appear like pictures from decades ago. Powerful human emotion and stark contrast. Solid!
Thanks for inviting us along with you!
Indeed, there was a bit of everything here, represented by these photos. It was a very good exhibition and there's more to come.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful exhibition, @erikah
My pleasure. I'm glad you like it.
I really love the 2 statues in the middle they are so cool!!
Ok my favorite photo here is Turn, it perfectly shows a brave human challenging the nature, with tools that would discourage a lot of people... I don't mind the last photos, but this one wins me
These are gr4eat photograpshs, yours included! I think these types of photos are my all tinme favorite. The subjects and settings are not tidied and spruced up at all. No, just everyday humanity in everyday activities. I feel as though I can put myself in the place of each soul depicted and get a sense of how each person felt in that moment. Perfection!
Candid shots brought the gallery to life better than the pros.
The cleaner looks really handsome, and he’s good at doing the housework too.😆
I love the little statues of women at the entrance – they’re beautiful!
And the photo exhibition is really meaningful and beautiful from start to finish. Although I have a favourite, I love all the ones that depict people at work, as well as the lonely, pensive man looking so sad.
What a beautiful photo!
