Biker Santas Are Coming To Town
Saturday was the day for this lovely, recurring event to take place once again. For me, this is the third year already and I'm not planning to break my habit of participating.

It is organized by a local biker's club and it is a charity event. The main scope is to collect presents from whoever is willing to donate and take these gifts to less fortunate children hosted by orphanages. Each year the event is announced in advance, kids are asked to review their toy collection and donate what they don't use anymore and would like other kids to have them, while adults are asked to contribute with the rest, like sweets, story books, colored pencils, fruits and so on.

Knowing the event takes place on Saturday, on the 13th, I had to have my pack ready, so I took out the plush toys I had for years, sitting in my drawer, bought sweets, notebooks, erasers, pencils and made two packs.
Seeing the two packs ready to be placed under the big tree in the city center made me happy. I like to give and when you think of those kids that don't have a home, a family and don't even know what it means to enjoy Christmas with family, makes me happy to know I can contribute a little, to make them happy for an hour or two.

When we arrived, the bikers were not there yet, so I was on the lookout to see where I can get a good spot to take some photos and was lucky as was standing next to the tree and these lovely Santas were all driving by me.

To give you an idea about the magnitude of the event, there were around 60 bikers, driving their own bike, each dressed in Santa clothes.

Yes, that's right, there was a Miss Santa as well, the only one on a bike.
Watching them drive by and parking their bikes in front of the Christmas tree was like watching a bike parade, but this was more.
Everyone was taking photos, making videos about the even, which is totally understandable as you don't see such thing every day.
Here's Miss Santa, she even decorated her bike, with red nose and horn, to look like Rudolph, the red nosed reindeer.
And this is where things got interesting. You see Santa, with his big stick (I don't know what it is called, if you do, let me know) and he was interacting with a little boy.
This is what they were all doing, giving out candies to kids.
Some had the candies in their helmet. It was really tempting as he had Roshen caramels (yummy), but I'm on a diet and besides, what kind of person would I be, if I'd take candies from kinds?
This guy was so funny in his reindeer suit. How can you not love these moments?
And here's Santa, close to a real one, posing for me, holding candies in his hand.
Finally, this is why we came here. After the bikers came in and everyone took photos of them, people started to place the presents in front of the tree.
It was really heartwarming to see so many presents donated.
And there it is, my two packs, on top of that big box.
For me, being there was a lot of fun, but it was a tough job as well, because taking photos of moving vehicles is not exactly easy. Plus the crowd was there too, but it doesn't matter.
The loveliest side of the event was seeing parents with small kids bringing presents. Teaching kids to donate, starting from a very young age is something all parents should do and here you could see plenty. Those kids got a valuable life lesson on Saturday.
So many of them took the occasion to sit on the bikes and have their photo taken by parents and grandparents.
After like 2 hours, the presents were loaded in these cars. The bikers left as there was another location at the other end of the city, where they did the same.

Santa's big stick? Must be used to help him walk if he has had too much to drink or to beat his naughty elves. Miss Santa never had a big stick.
The event is a great idea and glad your town celebrates such things helping other children during Christmas.
I think you're going to end up in the naughty corner 😂
It is an excellent even for several reasons and getting bigger and bigger each year.
So beautiful charity event! This Is the right Christmas spirit I think. ❤️❤️❤️
I think so too and the photos are proof of that. 🤗💚
first time i see something like this, i mean bikers+charity, here they do santa runs where you dress like santa and do a marathon, a few times santa bikers but no charity at all... it's a great initiative, to give some joy to that poor kids that wouldnt get presents otherwise... you gave some good peluches, my son would like them!
Santa runs are common everywhere but this is more than that. It connects those who are donating, with those in need and let's say it, who wouldn't be happy to see Santa arriving on a bike and bringing gifts too?
I bet your son would have liked the packs, although the sweets would have been too much for a kid his age 😀
Yes expecially cause without that initiative people might not even know they can donate...
Haha all chocolate and choco bars would immediately gone with him! Candies not really, I never give them to him
You can't trust kids with sweets 😆 better give them a small quantity and put the rest away.
Yep or they will never stop 🤣
I remember last year seeing your post about biker Santas. I really love this event and appreciate what they are doing for the community and spreading smiles and happiness. Much needed considering the situation of the current world...These are Modern Santas who ride bikes :D
We agree on that, every little bit of help is welcome and this event benefited so many. Those small kids were so happy and most of them learned to give as well.
Yes they are and adapting to today's conditions as we don't have snow anymore 😂
How cool is this!! We had something similar in town the previous weekend, but failed terribly in making my way towards the event. Happy to get glimmers of it through your post, though!
Yeah, I saw in the news (accidentally), that there was a Santa run for a wheelchair basketball team. Nice initiative. I hope next year you can go :)
wow... Christmas Celebration begins.. Santa biker is totally news for me.. amazing celebration with lots of Memories...
Merry Christmas to you 🎈⛄
Merry Christmas to you too @gargi 🎄
I'm glad I could show you something new and interesting.
Enjoy your Christmas to fullest...
Thank you, you too 🎄🎅
The idea is so beautiful, how many children will have nothing this Christmas, not even something to eat, I think about it a lot, because I see many realities day by day, not only here where I am but in many countries. You put together two packages full of things but above all full of love, and I am sure you will make children very happy, I will do something similar. I was touched by this post and the great work of these people. Thank you!🤗
Yes and this is just one initiative. There is another, where they are collecting whatever they can for poor families.
I tried to do my part as each year, to maybe make a difference and hoping to do more next year. Already have a plan 😎
Thanks for stopping by 🤗
I love that and I would love to know what it is all about, when good energy is distributed it is multiplied.💗
BIKER SANTAS!... How fun! XD ... Excellent photos as always @erikah friend, thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much Jesus, I did my best but it's never easy to to photograph in these conditions 🙂
What a beautiful gesture.
How lovely ❤️ What a spectacular time 😍
It was indeed, a big help and it's already a tradition.
Beautiful tradition.
May it continue for many more generations 🙌💫
Amen to that. I'm already planning the next one.
How lovely, what a nice gesture, what lovely people, how wonderful that spirit of unity, joy, wanting to help others, wanting to have a good time. How wonderful that you were able to attend and share this post, I think the idea is very original and necessary.
Happy holidays!!!
Indeed, it was a wonderful event and also necessary. Civil society has to step up and do its part in helping and this event was exactly that.
Happy holidays to you too Nitsu!
Great idea, and such lovely photos you took, Erikah. That wonderful spirit of sharing during the holidays through donations is truly moving. I was also delighted to see Miss Santa among the motorcyclists. 🙃
It is indeed an excellent idea. My photos are unfortunately not what I wanted as far as quality goes, but it was really difficult to be everywhere and manage the crowd too.
Miss Santa was a nice exception from the rule. I hope next time there will be more of her :)
I truly loved the photos; you managed to capture the whole essence of the event, along with its details. I especially liked the expressions you caught — the shining eyes of young and elderly Santas, all looking splendid. A hug, Erikah. You really did a great job there, and we are very grateful to you. I enjoy learning about all these things. Truly wonderful things are done in the world, and it is good to have access to them first-hand.
Thank you so much for the nice words! I'm trying my best, to bring something interesting each time, besides my usual art and TA posts.
Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day :)
😊
You’re welcome, Erikah, it’s a pleasure. Have a wonderful day as well.
