Back To Mineralia

Last yeas this time around I went to an exhibition of minerals. Today I had the occasion to visit one again and did not miss the occasion. It was an exhibition with sales, so obviously my goal was not just to look and take photos. Stones and minerals can never take over my obsession with silver, but still, it's nice to look at them.

20230325_103825a.jpg

The exhibition was held in the courtyard of a museum, so you may see objects, things that have nothing to do with minerals, so don't get scared :)

20230325_103838a.jpg

I must confess, I went there just as illiterate as far as minerals are concerned, as last year as I haven't learnt anything. While there, I heard people asking about one or another, knowing that they did their homework. Not like me.

20230325_103846a.jpg

20230325_103901a.jpg

Good thing most of the stones had a label so I can now tell you what you see on the photo 😂. Sorry, but I can't excel in everything 🤣. Ok, so jokes aside, those plate like objects are jasper, which turns out has some health benefits.

20230325_103910a.jpg

This was obviously a piece that you could not miss, so I took a close photo so you can see it too. The price was around 240€, which is not cheap at all, but it looks good if you have adequate furniture and space.

20230325_103928a.jpg

Those who have at least some basic knowledge about stones, minerals, look at them with a different eyes and think about their properties and about what these stones can do to you. Me, the illiterate, was looking at them, admiring their color, shape and texture.

20230325_103948a.jpg

There was a book for sale about the minerals you can find in Transylvania, but it's not really my area of interest.

20230325_104003a.jpg

And there were these too. I love shells and it always fascinates me how many types, shapes and colors are out there. Would have been nice to do a proper photo shoot but this was not the place for that. I did not want to move them.

20230325_104046a.jpg

I have an acquaintance, who knows everything there's to know about these minerals. His place is full of them, strategically placed to get the maximum effect of them.

20230325_104101(0)a.jpg

This box was full of different type of amethysts.

20230325_104117a.jpg

20230325_104151a.jpg

I was happy to see this section as jewelry is always fascinating, but pretty fast I had to realize there was nothing there for me. There were silver rings but all with minerals and I liked none.

20230325_104221a.jpg

However, there was another table, full of interesting jewelry and I had the feeling here I may find something I like.

20230325_104808a.jpg

These bracelets were the cheapest, 1€ each, so I thought I buy some.

20230325_104802a.jpg

And this is where the story gets interesting. As I mentioned above, those who are interested in these stones/minerals pick what they want, based on what these can do or represent. I on the other hand picked the colors I liked.

20230325_174328a.jpg

And ended up with these three. Before leaving, I asked the man what are these, to know at least and be able to check at home, He said jasper, rose quartz and obsidian. At that point I started thinking what would I want these minerals to do. One of the things I would look for is tranquility and calm. I'm not sure yet I believe in their property, but if I bought them, let's see what they are capable of.

So the brownish one is Jasper and this is what it does.

♥ Relaxation ♥ Contentment ♥ Compassion ♥ Nurturing ♥ Consolation ♥ Tranquility ♥ Healing ♥ Completion
Jasper is known as the “supreme nurturer”. It sustains and supports through times of stress, and brings tranquility and wholeness. Jasper provides protection and absorbs negative energy. It balances yin and yang. Jasper clears electromagnetic and environmental pollution, including radiation. It encourages honesty with one's self. Provides courage to assertively tackle problems. Aids quick-thinking and promotes organisational abilities. Jasper stimulates the imagination and transforms ideas into action. Prolongs sexual pleasure. It supports during prolonged illness and re-energises the body. source

What do you think? Am I good or what? 😂 I wanted tranquility and calm and picked the right one without knowing what it does.

The white-pinkish is rose quartz. The meaning of Rose Quartz is love and compassion.

♥ Unconditional love ♥ Self-love ♥ Mother love ♥ Caring ♥ Kindness ♥ Friendship ♥ Romantic love ♥ Platonic love
Rose Quartz is the stone of universal love. It restores trust and harmony in relationships, encouraging unconditional love. Rose Quartz purifies and opens the heart at all levels to promote love, self-love, friendship, deep inner healing and feelings of peace. Calming and reassuring, it helps to comfort in times of grief. Rose Quartz dispels negativity and protects against environmental pollution, replacing it with loving vibes. It encourages self forgiveness and acceptance invoking self trust and self worth. source

The black is obsidian.

Obsidian's gift to you is the insight into the causes of disease. It helps with digestion. It detoxifies, dissolving blockages and tension, including hardened arteries. It reduces the pain of arthritis, joint problems, cramps and injuries. source

You can read more about obsidian here.

I think my disbelieve or my problem with these minerals starts where each zodiac sign has its stones or one stone (I'm not sure how many). Mine is amethyst, which is purple/violet and I don't like the color at all. I also don't believe in any horoscope or any generalization of such. So I choose what I like and what I think goes well with what I'm wearing. However, today was fun to look at these.

So, now comes the question. Have you been able to find something you like? Do you believe in the healing properties of these stones?

Here you can buy them almost everywhere, but I like this exhibition as the offer is a wider one and you can always see new things. Fingers crossed, I hope you'll be able to visit an exhibition like this soon.

This is definitely nice , I don't really know more about all this mineral stone, but looking at it , I agree that important and useful when it comes to health care, but joke aside just like you said, seems you didn't end up buying anything, thought you said you're there for pictures taking alone. 😆😂

I will definitely take my time to read more too

I think you misunderstood something as I've never said I went there to take photos alone, but never mind.

Wow these stones are beautiful. As a student of agriculture, I’ve read about rocks several times so I was actually reading through thinking that I’ll see something familiar to talk about.

Unfortunately these minerals are beyond my common knowledge of rocks. But I’ve seen few igneous rocks that I’m familiar with, just that they look a bit different (pure).

But they’re all beautiful. The prices though 🫢

I think you may studied of other types of rocks. These are semi precious or so, used for jewellery. I'm not really familiar with them either but learning slowly.

wow cool!! nice exhibition specially for the ones who are more into stones. I have one ruby ring but I just wear it with no intention of it doing anything in my life lol dont know much about minerals and those precious stones but definitely this exhibition is worth to visit.
Those shells are looking great, I liked the star one, different shapes, colors its amazing thing, amazing nature of course. That jewelry section would be fun for my wife and worst section for me hehehe
Thanks for sharing the details , you picked some nice stone bracelet

I also have a gold ring with ruby, which I never wear as I don't like gold and I'm not a huge fan of ruby either. Wearing a ruby ring as a man is not something you see here often.

The shells were fascinating. I have two at home. I like to look at them but decorating my furniture with them is not something I would like.

You're right, taking your wife there would have meant some expenses for you :)

ooppss your response make me search again for my ring, I know that it is YAQOOT in Urdu and in English, I thought it's Ruby but no, it is Garnet. Not liking GOLD, R U SERIOUS? I thought GOLD is liked by every woman.
hhmmm you have two already as decoration? I would prefer them in a key-chain.
not just some but a lot of expenses lol

Man here don't wear rings and if they do, definitely not with precious stones. Those who prefer to wear rings have wedding ring like ones, made of silver.

Yes, I am serious, I hate gold. Gold is good as store of value to some extent, but not jewellery.

I thought GOLD is liked by every woman.

That may be where you live, but not in Europe. Silver is more popular. Different culture I suppose.

I think it's a bit about faith. I don't believe in them and so for me they don't have a healing effect, but I have seen them work on a few of my friends because they believed in them. I think that's what makes the difference. I think the colors are beautiful and they will go with any kind of casual outfit. So good choice 😂.

Yeah, placebo. Plain water has healing properties as well if you believe it helps. Ok, jokes aside, I don't want to disrespect anyone, I just don't believe in these things, but I'm going to wear these bracelets, expecting some results still. As about the colors, you saw how many were there, so there were plenty to choose from, but you have to match the colors with so many things 🙁, it's not so simple.

I would be like you, just admiring these beautiful stones, their shapes and colors, without actually knowing anything about them :D But we have a person in the Czech community here on Hive who collects stones and minerals and knows a lot about them, right @bucipuci? :)

A wonderful exhibition. I would like to stay here for a while :-).
Not sure if I'd buy any rocks though.
Recently, I prefer stones that I find in nature. And of all things, I prefer crystal. It is the most versatile stone I know.
As for your choice, you did well. A stone that "addresses" you with something will serve you best. Be it color or shape. And it is even better to take the stone in your hand and wait for a moment for the feeling that will come. Mostly it's a feeling of a changed temperature, or perhaps a tingling in the palm of your hand :-). "Cold and stinging" are not pleasant sensations and this means that the stone "does not fit" you.

If I can advise you, rinse the bracelets with cold running water, put them dried in a bowl with a little salt and put them on the window where the moonlight falls at night. The stones will thus be energetically cleansed and gain "new power" so that they can serve you well.
Repeat this at least once a month. Stones need to get rid of "dirt" just like you do when you take a bath :-)

Holy heaven, you really know a lot! I'm glad to know you think I did well. I tried to do what it felt right for me.

Your advice is really interesting. To be honest, I had no idea this can be done, or should be done, but it makes sense. I'm going to do it, just need to see where to put them during the night.

"Cold and stinging" are not pleasant sensations and this means that the stone "does not fit" you.

No matter what you expect, "cold" it's definitely what you get as it's not summer here and even at room temperature, these stones seem cold at first, then they warm up.

Thank you for the nice comment and now I know where to turn if I need help 😃

Have a nice day.

I can see that you really enjoyed yourself that day. I have heard of these stones during my study about chakra. But still wonder how these stones perform those functions attached to it. Please have you tried it before? How does it work? Has it ever solve any problems for you? Please just educate me. Thank you
