Autumn
It's been ages since I posted random shots or black and white for example, which I've been planning to do and never did. I've been taking photos as I always do, so today I'm going to post neither art, nor charts, but simple photos. Let's see if you like these.

Before I start, I need to let you know, we don't really celebrate Halloween in my country. Maybe kids at school have a Halloween party and some adults too, but you won't see houses decorated or huge street parties or kids going door to door. You can buy decorations, but thank God, the crazy is not here yet. I hope it stays this way.
I took this photo the last day of October, when I went to buy some flowers for the next day as we have All Saints' Day on the 1st of November. This, whatever you want to call it, was placed in front of a coffee shop and I thought I'd show it to you. Even though, as I said, we don't celebrate Halloween, I liked it, it looked cool. I don't know what he was doing with the jar, if you know, let me know.

During the year, in this place, there's a working clock surrounded by flower and it is called the flower clock. Around All Saints' Day, flowers taking over for awhile, after which a very tall Christmas tree is placed here, decorated with all kinds of Christmas decorations and lights, till mid January.

This is how the city center looked like all week, before All Saints' Day.
The city is making available this space for vendors whenever there's an event, like All Saints' Day, Christmas, 8th of March or summer festivals, but that day it was full of flowers.
For me it's always a pleasure to walk through the flower market and see all these gorgeous flowers.
Look at this view, how can you not love it?
Besides buying flowers, I was also hunting for some lovely flower photos and I'm happy to show you this beauty.
All Saints' Day, also known as All Hallows' Day, the Feast of All Saints, the Feast of All Hallows, the Solemnity of All Saints, and Hallowmas, is a Christian holy day celebrated in honour of all the saints of the Church, whether they are known or unknown. In Western Christianity, it is celebrated on November 1st. source
On this day, most of us go to the cemetery, visit our loved ones that unfortunately are no longer with us. We bring these wonderful flowers and light candles as well.
Back when I was a kid, I remember we used to go in the evening as lighting candles in the dark was the plan, but times change and these days we go when we can and when the weather permits.
This year the 1st fall on Saturday and it was a stunning day. It was sunny and hot as a summer day, the temperature was over 20C.
The city made public transport available for everyone at weekday schedule, to reduce traffic jams, which was a real gift.
I hope you like these flowers. It's the highlight of autumn, among the golden leaves of course.

Although there are many Halloween decorations here, it is more beautiful to see flowers... everything is so beautiful and colourful, I could imagine the scent of chrysanthemums, a flower that I love! It reminds me of the garden I used to have.
That sun lighting up everything around it, people enjoying themselves and the scent, the scent of flowers! They remind me of my grandmother. Thank you!
Unfortunately the scent was missing. I don't know why, maybe these flowers are a different type, but I remember when I was a kid, chrysanthemums had a stronger scent. Now you have to go closer to the flowers to feel it. Some don't like it as they say it's the flower of the dead, which is stupid.
I'm glad you like it and that it reminds you of your grandmother. Nice to be taken back to nice memories.
I had them in my house and the scent was delicious. If some say they are associated with death, like calla lilies and other flowers... they are just flowers. And they are beautiful!
I think the same. Just as funeral wreath are made of pine branches and no one is associating Christmas trees with death, why should we associate these flowers with death? Stupid. I have a nice bouquet of chrysanthemums on my desk as we speak 😎
And I like lilies!!! And cemeteries.🤣
Thanks @jlinaresp.
Seeing so many flowers at one time is breathtaking. They probably made the whole square smell sweet!
As I said in my previous comment, the smell was not so noticeable as you'd expected but the view was amazing.
The saints day is not really celebrated here, it's just one red day on the calendar... Halloween is just to make kids happy
That flowers sale reminds me of the spring fairs we have here when the fairs season starts again, it's cool looking
So you don't celebrate this day? That's too bad. I know catholics have a lot of saints and each have a role.
I love spring, I love the start of the fair season and can't wait to see it started.
I wanted to say this was the last of the year but it's not true. In 2 or 3 weeks the biggest fair starts. They are starting to prepare the Christmas fair 🎄🎅
Nope, we don't really do anything that day, elders go to the cemetery but that's it... Talking about north of course
Christmas markets, they start here too soon by December
Gorgeous flowers @erikah! Quite a surprise not to be taking a trip to an art gallery nor see those charts that must take so much time!
Thank you dear Lizelle. Yeah, sometimes I need a break, although art galleries are my break 😄
Such a lovely way to welcome November.💓
It is indeed.
WOW! The colors of these flowers are simply amazing! These flowers do not seem to be popular in Washington state for some reason as I never see them, but I recall them from the days of the Soviet Union and later Ukraine...
Yeah, the colors you see with this occasion are few, but spectacular. White, yellow, pink and dark claret.
These are the autumn flowers in Europe I guess. You see them in most of the countries.
What beautiful photos!
Those flowers are all beautiful and very heart warming too. A very wonderful place with this different colorful flowers.
Yes, too bad the market ended as the purpose is not there anymore.
Beautiful post. Love all the mums. We go a bit crazy with mums in Vermont. Everyone has them and the farmers markets are full of them. However you're street scene may top anything I saw around here this year 👍 I also grow some Dahlia each year. Red ones. But they are a pain because of the weather here, you have to dig them up each fall and bring in the tubers. Then replant in the spring. But they are beautiful 🙂
