A New Photo Exhibition
As I mentioned, yesterday I went to visit two exhibitions, that may close soon and I didn't want to miss the occasion. One was a photo exhibition, the other was a painting exhibition.
Today I'm going to show you some of the photos, but before that, a photo that can not be missing from my posts.
Looking at this scene, I was thinking, maybe it would be a lot of fun to do a post with these photos I have taken standing where I stood yesterday, when I took this photo. Maybe I should stop posting them, collect a good chunk and do a post.
The exhibition was made of photos participating and some winning at the 24th Hungarian International Photo Salon from 2024.
Szilárd Varga - Lady With A Table
Let's start with this monochrome photo, which is called lady with table, but I would call it lady under the table, because that's what it is. This photo was awarded gold medal in one of the categories. It may seem strange as people don't lay under the table for no reason, but I find it a very good composition, out of the box thinking actually. Love it, really deserves the gold.
I'm tagging @dimascastillo90, he knows why 🙂
Ovi. D. Pop- Stretch 02
This is a manipulated photo with staged scene you don't see every day. I love the creativity here. Let's see if you can spot something unusual here :) What fascinates me here is the main idea. Obviously the execution is a very important part of the process, but without a clearly defined, original idea, there's no execution either.
Tamás Barki - Deformation
Another wonderful concept. For those of you who are not aware, what you see is the Rubik cube, in black and the colors poured on it. It is a deformation indeed, but not regarding the shapes, but the colors. It's fantastic.
Ferencz Holop - Cube Code
This photo participated in the Hungarian Invention category. Why this cube? Because the Rubik cube was invented by a Hungarian man, architect and inventor, called Ernő Rubik.
The Rubik's Cube is a 3D combination puzzle invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik. Originally called the Magic Cube, the puzzle was licensed by Rubik to be sold by Pentangle Puzzles in the UK in 1978, and then by Ideal Toy Corp in 1980 via businessman Tibor Laczi and Seven Towns founder Tom Kremer. The cube was released internationally in 1980 and became one of the most recognized icons in popular culture. It won the 1980 German Game of the Year special award for Best Puzzle. As of January 2024, around 500 million cubes had been sold worldwide, making it the world's bestselling puzzle game and bestselling toy. The Rubik's Cube was inducted into the US National Toy Hall of Fame in 2014. source
I have a Rubik cube from the original series.
Borut Graj - Lux
This photo entered in the same category as above, in Hungarian Invention category.
Hajnal Vitos - Reflection
I love this type of photos. It's complex and has something unique that I can't really describe in words. I used to take photos of mannequins in shop windows and inside shops. Sometimes you can get some really cool shots, but unfortunately in most of the places photographing is not allowed and you can get into a lot of trouble if you go against the rules. Shame as I loved it.
Ibolya Katalin Horváth - Sad Clown
Tamás Bárki - Geometry
I need to look at the bright side. At least the amount of reflection I got here was manageable.
Ovi D. Pop - Red Spot
This photo was the poster photo of the exhibition and it was definitely a good choice. I love how the red dress breaks the harmony of the other colors.
Hajnal Pataki - Szilye Slope
If I were to choose a few of the photos, this would definitely be one I'd choose. The place looks untouched, or better yet, forgotten. Love how the green is mixed with the golden yellow. Lovely.
Walking along the lovely photos I was thinking how things work. You go to an exhibition and admire the photos other people have selected for you. But look at it from a different angle.
What if you'd have the occasion to submit one or two of your works for the competition. Would you know what to submit? Would you have photos you'd submit?
I'm not at that level and I'll never be, but I know it's not an easy decision. You'll have a lot of question to ask yourself and most likely a nice headache when deciding which one to be.

Aww, thank you @jlinaresp. You're always too kind.
nice image display.
Hermoso ❤️
A very varied and very good exhibition. The woman under the table can have many meanings, even in terms of personalities, and what I find strange about the second one is that there is a woman with three arms!
The first of the cubes is one of my favourites, as is the last one. It gives me a feeling of peace; it's beautiful!
Exactly 😂 I was curious to see if someone notices it.
I love the first cube too.
I suppose it's a bit surreal, but the photography is good.😃
Exactly right 😀
😘🤗
despite how much i love women body, i gotta say i also like Szilye Slope the most, i just love landscape and nature, the house looks abandoned so not much human contamination
Lady With A Table, must have some hidden meaning i can't get, the flowers are not doing well, they are going to die, i don't know, maybe something against violence on women?
and yea Stretch 02, front figure is the only one with 3 arms
Szilye Slope is a wonderful one. I'd sit in that place and enjoy the silence and fresh air but the problem is, no one is safe in my country anymore as bears are all over.
Oh God, I didn't think of violence against women in case and I truly hope it's not about that, but who knows.
😆 I'm glad you noticed the 3 arms, but I suspect it's the same lady in all 3 women.
Oh you are probably right about the same woman, i gave an other look
I only realized the 3 arms and that it may be the same woman at home, when writing the post 😆

I always snap random pics on my phone maybe one day they’ll end up in an exhibition too
That's great but to have a place in an exhibition I'm afraid you'll need more than that.
art and cultures together
Sometimes it is.
The last image has such stunning light. Just imagine that in the same weather conditions, on the same day, in some future year, that scene will be mostly the same. Landscapes are a challenge for me, because they're reproducible. Yet, I neglect to consider that the photograph itself is reproducible as well.
Lady with a Table is a thoughtful piece to. The way that flower is wilting is surely intentional by the creator(s) of that image.
Thanks for sharing :)!
There's a place in my city, that I am constantly photographing. It's a house covered by ivy and it looks different depending on the season. The place we're talking about in my post would look different as well every time, because nature takes over and it's never the same.
Take all the photos, please. Post all the photos. Mention me in the post. I want to see this house. It sounds like a location that I've photographed many times, in a cemetary. There's an old Church in the middle of it from the 1800s. But when you walk into the cemetary, you just see a tree in the middle of the place. That tree is really the church, covered in ivy and other vegetation. I've done so many portraits there, and I love that spot. Its like walking into a fantasy novel.
😍
Perfect 👏👏👏
Such a lovely exhibition. Each photograph is distinctly beautiful in its own way, and the neutral white walls and framing really helps the colors to pop.
Unfortunately the wall would need a fresh layer of paint, so it's not so nice. I used to edit the dirt on the wall before posting my photos, but I don't gave the time anymore.
Oh, I didn't really notice much of any dirt. I guess you notice more of the imperfections when you see the place up close.
Wow very nice photo exivation... All nice photo location also good
love the most is this creation .. also the women under the table...
Unfortunately the photo you mentioning here is not showing but the other is indeed lovely.
Seeing your visits to several exhibitions of photos and paintings, always showcasing a variety of beautiful images and paintings, among all the pictures you captured, of course the monochrome picture of a woman under the table is my favorite today.
Looks like that's the favorite of most of the readers. It's a very good one.
Wow, very inspiring work of art. Truly spectacular. Thank you for sharing.
Pleasure as always.
Have a pleasant day!
You as well.
Great photo exhibition, I loved the lady under the table, I think it would also name it like this :D In addition, it is a good reference for my photo sessions 😄
Thank you very much for tagging me my dear friend @erikah sending 😘😘🤗🤗❤️
