¡Hola amados!
Quisiera decir cosas positivas, ser lo más positiva que puedo e ignorar toda una realidad, además de difícil es frustrante.
Tras 9 horas sin servicio eléctrico, se me acaban las ideas para reinventarme.
Hay lugares históricos en mi ciudad que están embelleciendo, hay otras que la historia se deja ver entre su deterior con el tiempo.
Mientras observo las gritas y el desgaste, puedo ver que por dentro muchos estamos así, hay una pregunta que me hago constantemente ¿A dónde van los corazones rotos? Caminan sin rumbo, perdidos en el tiempo.

I’d like to say positive things, be as positive as I can and ignore the whole reality, but as well as being difficult, it’s frustrating.
After nine hours without electricity, I’m running out of ideas on how to reinvent myself.
There are historic places in my city that are being spruced up, whilst in others, history is evident amidst the wear and tear of time.
As I look at the cracks and the wear and tear, I can see that deep down, many of us are like that; there’s a question I constantly ask myself: Where do broken hearts go? They wander aimlessly, lost in time.

Es buena distracción caminar, sin embargo el clima ha estado muy caluroso, sin brisa, no puedes meterte en un lugar a refrescarte porque no hay electricidad, la opción que hacen algunos es ir a centros comerciales, que tienen plantas generadoras de electricidad, pero a veces es muy deficiente para la cantidad de personas que van y los aires acondicionados que pueden tener encendidos. Realmente es como no tener escapatoria.
He trabajado mucho mentalmente para no caer en la negatividad, la realidad es fuerte.
Hay estados y ciudades privilegiadas, por ejemplo en Caracas nunca se va el servicio eléctrico. Si el gobierno fuera más responsable primero no se iría el servicio eléctrico y de ser así, administrarían las cargas equitativamente, no es solo dejar a Caracas privilegiada cuando en Aragua nos dejan hasta 12 horas sin servicio.

Yes, going for a walk is a good distraction, but the weather has been very hot, with no breeze; you can’t go anywhere to cool off because there’s no electricity. Some people choose to go to shopping centres, which have electricity generators, but sometimes the power supply is very inadequate for the number of people who go there and the air conditioning units they might have running. It really feels like there’s no escape.
I’ve had to work hard mentally not to succumb to negativity; the reality is harsh.
There are privileged states and cities; for example, in Caracas the electricity supply never cuts out. If the government were more responsible, the electricity supply wouldn’t cut out in the first place, and if it did, they’d manage the load evenly. It’s not right to give Caracas preferential treatment when here in Aragua we’re left without electricity for up to 12 hours.

Cuando tomo fotos, me gusta que sean a cosas antiguas, que muestren cierto deterioro del tiempo, son piezas de historia, al menos me entretengo un rato.
Si estoy en casa y cortan el servicio, mientras hay luz del día, me puedo entretener en algo, siempre que el calor no sea sofocante, sino tendré que acostarme en el suelo, para evitar me suba la presión arterial.
No soy la única que sufre, tengo amistades que esto les ha afectado tanto o más que a mí, sobre todo dueños de comercios que han cerrado sus puertas porque bajo estas condiciones y los altos impuestos que hay que pagar al estado en una moneda que ni circula en nuestro país como el euro, no hay rentabilidad y prefieren bajar sus santamarías.
Le he preguntado a la IA, cuánto tiempo estaremos así, no fue nada alentador, podríamos seguir así durante 8 años más... Es tan agobiante y aplastante que me preocupo si mi cuerpo podrá soportarlo.

When I take photos, I like them to be of old things, showing some wear and tear from the passage of time; they’re pieces of history, and at least they keep me entertained for a while.
When I’m at home and the power goes out, as long as there’s daylight, I can keep myself occupied with something – provided the heat isn’t stifling, otherwise I’ll have to lie down on the floor to stop my blood pressure from rising.
I’m not the only one suffering; I have friends who have been affected by this as much as, if not more than, me – particularly shopkeepers who have closed their doors because, under these conditions and with the high taxes they have to pay to the state in a currency that isn’t even in circulation in our country – such as the euro – there’s no profit to be made, so they prefer to shut up shop.
I’ve asked the AI how long we’ll be like this – the answer wasn’t encouraging at all; we could carry on like this for another 8 years… It’s so overwhelming and crushing that I worry whether my body will be able to cope.
