seaside thistle sunset
most of the seaside park is well maintained grass lawns but wildflowers flourish at the far end that is left in it's natural state. the autumn wildflowers are still in full bloom but the almost all summer ones have gone to seed. closest to the rocky water's edge there's a stand of milk thistles that catch the last rays of the setting august sun. this series features some of the tallest ones with the sea and rock as a backdrop.
it was a lovely end of summer evening and a delight to focus on these remnants of summer. as often is the case so close to the sea, the biggest challenge was the wind
