entry reflections 233: back on the rocks

i like to head to the rocky seashore in all kinds of conditions. whether it's hot, cold or comfortable, whether there's a windstorm, calm or gentle breeze. each has it's charm but the naturally polished rocks are dangerous when there is a thin layer of winter ice or often even if they are wet from rain or sea spray the risk of slipping and getting hurt are real.

though rare, from august to november there are occasionally sunny days with dry air and almost no wind even on the seashore. the sea itself is almost never mirror still but the pools on the rocks can be. then with the low setting sun shining on the carved rock the conditions are ideal for reflections

since the opportunities are few and far between i take a lot of such shots. i have posted some previously and will post more in the future but these here are among the best
