summer is here and for many of the folks by the sea that means it's boat season. the marina in the harbor is filling up with boats and by June 23rd it should be full. that is when we celebrate midsummer's night here in Norway. locally there a procession of boats starting in the nearby town and when it passes through here in the early evening the number of boats swells to well over a thousand.

but for now on a quiet late June weekday evening when the wind has subsided and the people have docked their boats and gone home the water stills enough to present. a good opportunity for reflection shots of the boats at dock

the summer is short here so we have to enjoy it while we have it.
