entry reflections 222

we were driving along the south coast to get to the southernmost point of land in Norway. the morning breeze was gentle so the water was quite smooth but not perfectly so. this is often the case and the wind picks up as the sun gets higher and warmer. there was a small rest area along the scenic road so we pulled over for a quick stop

as luck would have it a swan happened to pass by. i presume it was checking us out to see if we were going to offer it some food. swans tend to hang around places where there is a decent probability of people feeding them, and this rest area with picnic tables was a reasonable choice. the reflection of the swan looked nice but just as i was going to take a photo the reflection of its head crashed into a low lying rock

the swan realized we didn't have any food in our hands so kept on swimming past us. when its reflection had cleared the rock i eas able to get a better shot
