RE: Photographs – Travel Album – María Zambrano in Greece

Good afternoon, @avdesing. Once again, a truly fascinating presentation—one that goes far beyond the images themselves. Without your text, without knowing the photographer behind the images, and without the accompanying quotes... truth be told, the photographs probably wouldn't have caught my eye. So, thank you for your explanations and for sharing those quotes.
It comes as no surprise to me that María Zambrano would turn to Greece as a source—a journey undertaken while deep in mourning, and one that, to my mind, carries a transcendent quality: that we are all (that everything is) one.
I believe the exhibition dedicated to Maruja Mallo is still running in Madrid, which is excellent news. I feel strongly that these women represent a vital, yet often-forgotten, part of our history—missing pieces essential to a full understanding of the era of the Second Republic.
Thank you so much for this post.
I wish you a wonderful Sunday.
It’s true – without knowing the story behind the photos, they wouldn’t have had the significance they do; they tell a story of longing and grief. Thank you very much for your kind words; it’s always a pleasure to see art.
I hope you get to visit lots of exhibitions soon!!! Thank you, and have a great Sunday!🤗
