My search for pink [Eng-Esp]

IMG_20250616_234727.jpg

This is my first post in this community and I would like to greet all its members, photography lovers and especially its administrator @stresskiller.

This is my participation in the New photo-essay-contest, which consists of photographing pink objects and then publishing the photos following some rules in this community. Initiative that I met thanks to Mipiano (thanks!), and presented and explained by the administrator in the following link in case you are interested and want to join it.

At the beginning, finding pink objects seemed to me a great challenge... but, little by little I was surrounded by pink objects. And let's not forget that we are in the middle of the umbrellas and pink books season... which I will talk about later, accompanying my words with the corresponding images.

The color pink is in fashion. I have the impression that this year pink is going to be the protagonist of the summer because of the number of people I have seen wearing some pink garment.

And we begin with a small tribute to Abbey Road on its 56th birthday. I will tell you that 56 is a big number.

IMG_20250615_092313_2.jpg

On the one hand spring is a good source of pink images. Of the plants that watch me as I walk, some flirtatiously and proudly display their pink flowers as you can see in the images. Ok, not all of them are watching me... ok... ok... I am the invisible man for almost all plants (and animals).

IMG_20250615_071820.jpgIMG_20250607_072033.jpg

IMG_20250614_080415.jpg

Obviously (perhaps not so obvious) I also found the color pink inside my apartment.

First of all, I have two small collections of books from the publishers Paidós and Amorrortu, plus some anthropology books whose soft covers are pink as you can see in the images.

If you have a little patience I will show you in a few moments where the pink books come from.

IMG_20250607_210912.jpgIMG_20250607_214147.jpg

Pink is not only good for lyrics. It also goes very well with music. On the one hand, on my turntable you can see a pink mat whose mission is to protect the records. The other picture shows the Lp PINK of the Japanese group CHAI, of course a record with pink vinyl.

IMG_20250607_210625.jpgIMG_20250607_210712.jpg

More things that can be found in a pink apartment... well, a watering can. An image at the height of the best Ducham.

IMG_20250609_123810.jpg

Back to music, but this time in a digital format. Before you is a CD by Macy Gray with pink as the protagonist. The album, in case anyone is curious enough to listen to it, is called ID (like Freud's It).

IMG_20250615_193002.jpg

And the song says....

The state of the world today
It's real thick
To come up and find a way
Solution
The next time you're alone
You can
Create a world of your own
Make it magic
Give it love

Collecting pink books and pink umbrellas:

As I mentioned a few lines ago, this is the ideal time to harvest the last crop of umbrellas and pink books.

Luckily, very close to where I live you can see books and umbrellas still unharvested.

The pink book plant is a scrub with yellow flowers. The experts, careful not to spoil either the book or the plant, every year collect the latest edition of each publication.

For some reason, still unknown, these plants give fewer books every year. Being the paper book with pink cover a rarity increasingly scarce.

IMG_20250614_070416.jpg

IMG_20250614_070428.jpg

Although for rarity, the following. Not all pink books are born from a bush. There are also those that emerge from the ground, in this case you have to be very careful when collecting them. Not only do you have to pick them when they are fully ripe, without any blank pages, with their corresponding indexes and forewords, you also have to be careful not to damage the root of the plant. If the root is damaged, the plant will certainly not bear any new fruit.

IMG_20250614_070321.jpg

And now we come to the climax of this publication: with the very rare images of the pink umbrella tree.

In the following image we can see a pink umbrella still unharvested, in its tree waiting to mature to be picked and stored with other pink umbrellas.

IMG_20250614_065949.jpg

This last image ends my participation in this pink initiative. I think it is a seed of the pink book bush. If you think it is not, you can leave a comment.

ESPAÑOL

IMG_20250616_234727.jpg

Vale, no todas me observan... vale... vale...

IMG_20250615_193002.jpg

Y la canción dice....

El estado del mundo hoy
Es realmente espeso
Subir y encontrar una manera
Solución
La próxima vez que estés solo
Puedes
Crear un mundo propio
Hazlo mágico
Dale amor

Recolectando libros y paraguas rosas::

It's definitely a seed, I think...

The tree umbrella, how original, there's a tree that creates umbrellas... it doesn't rain much here, but it would be useful to have one...

I loved the pink flowers and never suspected there were so many pink books! I think of pink music... that sounds pink, it would be great! Lots of creativity in the publication! Thank you

Hi, about the umbrellas... they can also become parasols... I also think it's a seed, I'll see if someone gives another answer.

The publication came to me from somewhere unfamiliar... I don't know if that can be called imagination..... Thank you very much for the visit.

A big hug.

The matter is very clear, is to believe or not believe. You say that pink Paragua is the fruit of that tree and I believe you. If you start crumbling the umbrella in parts, it has a large percentage of vegetable fiber, is it? So we can perfectly say that it is the result of that tree. Like the books, they are the result of them and today every day that passes those pink leaves will disappear. They will be replaced by virtual books.Rosas are my favorites and those are beautiful. My umbrella looks like that alone that it is black.
Friend @enraizar I wish you a pink weekend. 🤗🥰

Thank you very much for the visit, my dear @mamani. Everything you say is true, and the point of believing or not believing has given me the key to a text that in parts I wrote almost in automatic writing mode.

I prefer to believe that I live in a world in which books grow everywhere, and in which pink umbrellas hang from the trees.

I also like roses. I wish you a great weekend. A big hug. 🤗

Toc, toc...

The song you highlighted is Oblivion. I’ve listened to some of her songs before, and I’ve always liked her voice. I just downloaded this album on Spotify to see what it’s like.

You, always worried about the roots… 😂

For some reason, still unknown, these plants give fewer books every year. Being the paper book with pink cover a rarity increasingly scarce.

🤣

Ay dios mío, with those flower-book titles, this post feels almost therapeutic.

¡Buenos días!

Buenos días @nanixxx, I don't know what to tell you. let's go by parts, about the singer I met her around the same time as Erykah Badu, and they are two voices that I love. I think the album is very good.

About the rooting... well... I'm a tree.😄

I've had a week with a lot of unpaid work... in Madrid a situation of abuse has just been made public and I, in principle, am the psychologist of one of those affected and this is going to take me time (it already is).

I am quite happy with my work... I think I am very close to where I want to be.

Happy Friday. Big hugs.🤗

Oh, Erykah Badu… it’s been a while since I last listened to her as well. The power’s just gone out here, and I think I’ll take a stroll over to the vendor’s spot to see if I can find one of those nylon cords for my two lawn trimmers. They both ran out yesterday. What a nuisance… with all the work still left to do. I’ll stop by a Wi-Fi zone later to download some music—and I’ll definitely add Erykah to my playlists again.

Such a shame what you mentioned about the abuse… But I know she/he’s in good hands.

I was supposed to go to the telephone company today to lodge a complaint. Oh, but you’ve no idea how much I loathe that foul energy—the kind you soak in just by walking into a place where abuse has become the norm these days. Since the 30th of April, when someone stole my telephone cable, no one from that company has done a thing, despite my report and two follow-up complaints over the phone. Abuse, plain and simple… sheer disregard… it’s honestly beyond belief. And those shameless ones offering plans no one can afford. I’m telling you, this country’s a bloody mess… but you’ve got to keep a smile on your face, act like it doesn’t get to you, or else you’ll end up in a hospital bed.

I’m truly glad that you’re almost where you want to be.

¡Abrazo!

Hi @nanixxx, I don't know what to say about the abusive situation you comment but what to feel that is nothing but outrage and helplessness. I can't imagine living in such a situation.

About what I commented to you about the abusive situation here, it is also institutional abuse. With the complicity of the Community of Madrid, but it is a case that can occur in any Spanish autonomous community and with any political party. It is a shame, but that is how it is. And those affected are migrant mothers without resources.

In order not to leave this with a bad taste in my mouth, I inform you that the pigeons already have chicks (at least one).

Hi @mipiano, since you couldn't upload a photo I'll give you one. The pink umbrella after its collected. As you will see, in this park also grow on the ground the famous black backpacks, all natural.

A hug, and thank you.

Gracias. Gracias. Gracias.
