Last Friday marked the beginning of a unique weekend in the city of Cumaná-Sucre, which welcomed me with a mixture of nostalgia and excitement, as it had been two years since my last visit, and this time I was returning to attend the traditional motorcycle event that brings together motorcycle and road enthusiasts every year... But what I didn't know was that before reuniting with old friends, fate had an unexpected break in store for me, one that smelled of the sea and sounded like calm.

As I was heading to the hotel where the biker meetup was taking place and where we were expected for dinner, something made me stop... On the coast of San Luis, the Complejo Turístico Cangrejo Azul stretched out like an oasis facing the sea. It wasn't part of my plans, but I couldn't help stopping. The sky was dressed in warm colors and the calm sea became a perfect mirror of that natural spectacle. The soft music coming from the place mixed with the sound of the waves, creating a symphony that invited you to stay, even if only for a few minutes.

This space, recently inaugurated as part of the celebration of 509 years of Cumaná, is a project that seeks to revitalize local tourism, offering more than 3,000 square meters of recreational, cultural, and gastronomic areas. There are many culinary offerings, with oriental flavors and typical dishes that promise a complete sensory experience. Although I was unable to sample the menu that day (dinner awaited me elsewhere), I was able to savor the atmosphere, the energy, and the intention behind every detail.

El Cangrejo Azul offers services designed for visitor comfort: bathrooms, showers, rest areas, and spaces for sporting and cultural events. Everything is arranged so that the sea is not just a backdrop, but the star of the show, and that was exactly what I experienced sitting in front of the horizon, with the wind caressing my face and the colors of the sunset painting the water, I felt that time had stopped. That day, although my appointment with my friends forced me to continue on my way, I knew I would return. Because there are places that you don't plan to visit, but they stay with you, and this is a beautiful place to relax.

El viernes pasado, fue el inicio de un fin de semana distinto en la ciudad de Cumaná- Sucre, que me recibió con una mezcla de nostalgia y emoción pues ya habían pasado dos años desde mi última visita y esta vez volvía para asistir al tradicional evento motero que cada año reúne a apasionados de las motos y la carretera... Pero lo que no sabía era que antes de reencontrarme con viejos amigos, el destino me tenía preparada una pausa inesperada, una que olía a mar y sonaba a calma.

Mientras me dirigía al hotel donde seria el encuentro motero y nos esperaban para cenar, algo me hizo detenerme... A un costado del litoral de San Luis, el Complejo Turístico Cangrejo Azul se desplegaba como un oasis frente al mar, no lo tenía en mis planes, pero fue inevitable detenerme. El cielo estaba vestido de colores cálidos y el mar, sereno, se convertía en un espejo perfecto de ese espectáculo natural, la música suave que salía del lugar se mezclaba con el sonido de las olas, creando una sinfonía que invitaba a quedarse, aunque fuera solo por unos minutos.

Este espacio, inaugurado recientemente como parte de la celebración de los 509 años de Cumaná Es un proyecto que busca revitalizar el turismo local, ofreciendo más de 3.000 metros cuadrados de áreas recreativas, culturales y gastronómicas. Hay muchas propuestas culinarias, con sabores orientales y platos típicos que prometen una experiencia sensorial completa. Aunque ese día no pude probar el menú (la cena me esperaba en otro lugar) sí pude saborear el ambiente, la energía y la intención detrás de cada detalle.

El Cangrejo Azul cuenta con servicios pensados para el confort del visitante: baños, duchas, zonas de descanso, y espacios para eventos deportivos y culturales. Todo está dispuesto para que el mar no sea solo un fondo, sino el protagonista de la experiencia, y eso fue exactamente lo que viví sentada frente al horizonte, con el viento acariciando mi rostro y los colores del atardecer pintando el agua, sentí que el tiempo se detenía. Ese día, aunque la cita con mis amigos me obligó a continuar el camino, supe que volvería. Porque hay lugares que no se planean, pero se quedan contigo y este es un lugar hermoso para relajarse.
