Before we get into the whole messy witness details, you are probably asking yourself about the picture(s). Well, this weekend, I got to be the practice dummy for the cosmetic princesses in my midst. I purposely chose silver and gold for all my #silvergoldstackers out there! People like @silverd510, @summertooth, @thedamus, @kerrislravenhill and @dfinney to name a few. 😎 Ya, represent. The metal sheen also lends the imagination to think of robotics and that led me #psyberx! Shout out to @dynamicrypto and the @psyber-x team making some badass shit happen out here. That's two of the things I hold near and dear to my Hive heart.

Are there others, you ask? But of course! (and you can see them below) I also have strong support for the #veterans out here trying to make their way every day. People like @inthenow, @wesphilbin, @ambiguity, @davedickeyyall and @jamerussell. My own personal project, PIMP, which is all about making money, has been really successful this year in terms of growth and development. It has a long way to go, but I love the progress so far.

Finally, one of the very first communities ever to arrive on Hive - before they (communities themselves and Hive) were even a thing - @thealliance. The first family of Hive has been there for me since I first created it, and we will all continue to be there for you! From the full on blood clan members all the way out to the twice removed, second cousin's, step-sister's, uncle's, grampa's adopted daughter. I've met some absolutely amazing people in the fam like @snook, @saffisara, @katrina-ariel, @papacrusher and @wwwiebe. There are so many, the list could literally take up an entire post.

I know you're loving those toes. 😍 All sparkly and shit. They put a nice smile on my face as this past week has been quite the challenge. Watching my house get torn down really was a blow. That and a 'strong argumentative urge' from the other side of the gallery to get a house, didn't make it any fuk'n easier. On top of that, there is a new version of our lovely Hive hitting your shelves as we speak.

So what exactly does this new #hardfork do for us all? There is a new thing called OBI - One Block Irreversibility - that gives Hive almost a purely and true immutable claim. It basically means that once you perform an action, it cannot be undone. This speeds up the time between voting capabilities. It also contains therein, the removal of voting penalties if you change your vote in terms of usage of RCs and MANA based on the difference versus an entirely new operation. Two other major changes are the compression of the blocklog in witness servers and RC delegation. The compression basically means that we can lighten the load for all witnesses and make it easier for people to run one. The RCs (resource credits) can now be delegated to other people and organizations. This is huge for new users as instead of lending out HP and reducing your vote (also effectively lowering your own RC 'pool') so they can perform an action, you can now delegate them RCs and have the same effect. This is huge for games that onboard a lot of people and critical to those new users that want to engage and comment but don't have the means yet to do it.

Is going to go out to a few people here. I have been having some seriously shitty issues with the wallet inside of my servers. I say servers, because I manage 4 different witnesses and they all had the same problem once I decided to migrate to the new hard fork. So, thank you to some of the @privex staff for trying to help. A bigger thank you to @klye for listening to me be a little bitch and whine for a minute and the biggest thank you goes out to @c0ff33a.

I did not ask for his help. But, being the friend and fam that he is, saw that I was having trouble, missing blocks and reached out to me to figure out what needed to be done to get things operational again. As of this morning, all four witnesses I manage are now signaling v26.01 of the Hive blockchain. Stability engaged. Means a lot my man, thank you. As for the rest of you, REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am, even when my toes look better than yours. HA!😁
