Iwo Road:The Heart Beat of Ibadan That Never Sleeps

The picture here shows Iwo road in Ibadan Oyo state and it's one of the most well-known and busiest parts of the city.
It serves as a major transport spot, linking Ibadan to other towns and cities across Oyo State and beyond.
Anyone familiar with Ibadan knows that Iwo Road never sleeps. From morning until late at night, the area is full of activity.
Commercial buses, motorcycles, and taxis called (Micra) for some pick up and drop off passengers, while traders are on the streets selling everything from food and clothes to electronics such as tv,laptop mobile phone, building materials and lots more.

For many, Iwo Road is the first impression of Ibadan because of its central location.
It’s a place where you see the hustle and determination of everyday people, working hard to make a living. Over the years, development has brought in shopping complexes, banks, and modern businesses, making it more than just a transport point it has become a commercial place.

At the same time Iwo Road has its challenges, such as congestion and occasional riot.
Yet, despite these issues, it represents the energy and resilience of Ibadan. To truly experience the city’s heartbeat, a visit to Iwo Road gives you a real glimpse into its culture and community life.
