24 de Diciembre, Tradicion Familiar [Esp/Eng]

ENGLISH
Greetings, dear friends. It is a great pleasure for me to visit this wonderful community today. First of all, I would like to wish you all and your beautiful families a wonderful New Year. On this occasion, I would like to share with you some beautiful photographs of our family's December 24th celebrations.
It has been a family tradition every December 24th, for as long as I can remember, to gather at my mother's house to make Christmas hallacas, which are an essential dish for Christmas Eve dinner.
Well, I'll tell you that this year we thought we wouldn't be able to make these much-loved hallacas at home because, as you know, the economic situation in my country is difficult and, unfortunately, many households don't have the financial resources they used to.
It is such a beautiful tradition that brings our family together that we couldn't just let it pass us by. So, we bought the most necessary ingredients and were able to continue our family tradition at home, making these delicious hallacas in unity and harmony.
On this day, everyone participates, from the youngest to the grandparents. We all gather early in the morning at the grandparents' house, where we begin preparing the ingredients and then making the hallacas and, of course, the pan de jamón, which we also make from scratch.
This is a very special day for everyone, not only because of the preparation of this dish, but also because it is a day of sharing and family unity. After the preparation, everyone returns home to get ready and continue working into the night to share a meal at the same table, which, thank God, gets bigger every year, and to give thanks to God and life for another year of unity and health.
