¿Sabes por qué vamos a Barcelona?

La gente va a Barcelona porque es un referente arquitectónico.

Genios creadores como Antonio Gaudí y Domènech i Montaner, han hecho maravillas; pero también, por referentes como el hospital de Santa Cruz, el Palacio de la música y la iglesia La Sagrada Familia; inclusive, existe un barrio gótico.

Además, por la cultura, el deporte y los negocios.

No hay que decir, que Barcelona tiene un clima privilegiado prácticamente todo el año, con pocas lluvias y que además es portuaria, por lo que hay una oferta hotelera increíble y de altura.

Por eso vamos a Barcelona.

Sin embargo, los que la visitan esporádicamente y por poco tiempo, disfrutan de sus espacios, su ambiente festivo y de su gente maravillosa, muy gregaria.

1.- La plaza de Cataluña

Es muy céntrica; y de hecho está en una de las principales avenidas Las Ramblas.

Está rodeada de tiendas, hoteles, centros comerciales, bares, restaurantes, que la hacen un lugar excelente para disfrutar la ciudad.

Está animada a cualquier hora del día y sirve para contemplar el ambiente, a los transeúntes, a hacer las compras y a conocer gente.

Hay una tienda de El Corte Inglés, cerca, que tiene un espacio para contemplar a la plaza desde lo alto; así que, si puedes ir, no te lo pierdas.

2.- La Casa Museo Gaudí

Si bien, mucha gente va por ver la arquitectura de este famoso artista, yo les propongo que visiten la residencia que tuvo entre 1906 y 1925; y que tiene una colección de muebles y objetos diseñados por él mismo.

Es una opción muy interesante, tranquila; y que tiene un ambiente de relajación con vegetación muy hermosa que nos ayuda a entender la memoria y la manera de pensar de este famoso arquitecto.

3.- La Santa Iglesia Catedral Basílica Metropolitana de la Santa Cruz y Santa Eulalia -Espero no haber omitido nada-

¡Esta iglesia gótica tenemos que verla desde fuera!

Tiene construcciones diferentes que muestran cómo fue creciendo la edificación, pues, alrededor hay capillas radiales que nos hablan de su historia.

Esta catedral se parece mucho a la de Nuestra Señora en París; y estar frente a ella nos da la sensación de paz y de historia que todos buscamos aquí.

4.- ¡Amamos La Plaza Real!

Barcelona tiene una historia religiosa increíble; pero en 1835 -según comentan- hubo una debacle religiosa en la ciudad; y casos como el del antiguo convento capuchino pasó a mejor vida, dejando un espacio libre para el uso de todos los transeúntes, que luego se convirtió en La Plaza Real actual.

Un arquitecto encargado de la obra, Molina; la concibió como un lugar para enaltecer la monarquía del país.

Así que, allí encontramos monumentos que elevan la figura del Rey Fernando VII, el monarca de ese momento, que es inmortalizado en una estatua ecuestre.

Pero tiene un ambiente maravilloso de día y de noche, lo que nos obliga a visitarla con frecuencia mientras estemos en Barcelona.

La Plaza Real; un lugar de encuentros y alegría diurna y nocturna

Barcelona, en realidad, no es para contarla

Barcelona es una ciudad para disfrutar por algunos días, para los que vivimos y trabajamos en otros países y ciudades.

Es costosa -debo decirlo- pero podemos acceder a muchas bellezas, y a llevarnos el mejor recuerdo de su gente, de su cultura, de su turismo y, sobre todo, de su espíritu festivo.

Ustedes me dirán…

From the tourist and economic point of view, there are conflicting opinions as to which of the Spanish cities has been taken as a reference point, Madrid or Barcelona.

Indeed, Madrid is the capital of the country and seat of the monarchy; but Barcelona -with 7 million tourists a year- is a reference point for art, religion, sports and culture that we should all, at some point in our lives, get to know.

Here are four places that, suddenly, very few people take as references, but that are a place to find tranquility, to admire the beauty of the city, to live and enjoy the coastal environment of this beautiful city; and accessible to all.

Do you know why we go to Barcelona?

People go to Barcelona because it is an architectural reference.

Creative geniuses like Antonio Gaudí and Domènech i Montaner, have done wonders; but also, for references such as the Santa Cruz hospital, the Palace of Music and the Sagrada Familia church; there is even a Gothic quarter.

But also, for culture, sports and business.

It goes without saying that Barcelona has a privileged climate practically all year round, with little rainfall and it is also a port city, so there is an incredible hotel offer.

That is why we go to Barcelona.

However, those who visit it sporadically and for a short time, enjoy its spaces, its festive atmosphere and its wonderful people, very gregarious.

1.- The Plaza de Cataluña

It is very central; and in fact it is in one of the main avenues Las Ramblas.

It is surrounded by stores, hotels, shopping malls, bars, restaurants, which make it an excellent place to enjoy the city.

It is lively at any time of the day and serves to contemplate the atmosphere, the passers-by, to do shopping and to meet people.

There is an El Corte Ingles store nearby, which has a space to contemplate the square from above, so if you can go, do not miss it.

2.- The Gaudí House Museum

Although many people go to see the architecture of this famous artist, I suggest you visit the residence he had between 1906 and 1925, which has a collection of furniture and objects designed by himself.

It is a very interesting option, quiet, and has a relaxing atmosphere with beautiful vegetation that helps us to understand the memory and the way of thinking of this famous architect.

3.- The Santa Iglesia Catedral Basílica Metropolitana de la Santa Cruz y Santa Eulalia -I hope I haven't omitted anything-

This gothic church has to be seen from the outside!

It has different constructions that show how the building grew, because around it there are radial chapels that tell us about its history.

This cathedral is very similar to that of Notre Dame in Paris; and being in front of it gives us the feeling of peace and history that we all seek here.

4.- We love La Plaza Real!

Barcelona has an incredible religious history; but in 1835 -as they say- there was a religious debacle in the city; and cases like the old Capuchin convent passed away, leaving a free space for the use of all passers-by, which later became the current Plaza Real.

An architect in charge of the work, Molina, conceived it as a place to exalt the monarchy of the country.

So, there we find monuments that elevate the figure of King Ferdinand VII, the monarch of that time, which is immortalized in an equestrian statue.

But it has a wonderful atmosphere day and night, which forces us to visit it frequently while we are in Barcelona.

Barcelona is a city to enjoy for a few days, for those of us who live and work in other countries and cities.

It is expensive -I must say it- but we can access to many beauties, and to take the best memories of its people, its culture, its tourism and, above all, its festive spirit.
