Leaving the pencil and paper for a moment, today I want to share some photographs of birds that I have been taking in these last weeks since my small patio lends itself to it due to its vegetation, trees, fruits and especially the birds that visit us.

This time I want to share a photograph of a small bird, I mean Hummingbird, that was hanging around the flowers in my garden.

I was researching the name of this Hummingbird and its name is... Chlorostilbon assimilis and it is a species of small bird that has a length of approximately 10 cm from head to tail. Its body is slender and covered in brilliant plumage with a variety of colors.
The upperparts are shiny metallic blue, with a green tail and wings, and a silver-colored stripe on top of the head. The lower part of its body is white with a silver-colored stripe on its chest. His eyes are brown.

According to research they feed mainly on nectar and small insects, such as mosquitoes and flies. They can be found in a variety of areas with an abundance of flowers, including tropical and subtropical rainforests, montane forests, and deserts. This species of hummingbird is a nocturnal migratory, which means that they move between North America, Central America, and southern Mexico at night.

At first it was a little difficult for me to take several pictures because they are very small and I have been restless with their great speed when flying but I was patient and using the Zoom of my camera I was able to capture very good images in their movement and today with pleasure I share them with all of you.

Dejando por un momento el lápiz y el papel hoy les quiero compartir algunas fotografías de aves que estado tomando en estas ultimas semanas ya que mi pequeño patio se presta para ello por su vegetación, arboles, frutos y en especial las aves que nos visitan.

En esta oportunidad les quiero compartir una fotografía de un pequeña ave osea Colibrí que estaba rondando en las flores de mi jardín.

Estuve investigando el nombre de este Colibrí y tiene como nombre.. Chlorostilbon assimilis y es una especie de ave de tamaño pequeño que tiene una longitud de aproximadamente 10 cm de cabeza a cola. Su cuerpo es delgado y está cubierto por un plumaje brillante con una variedad de colores.
Las partes superiores son azul metálico brillante, con una cola y alas verdes y una franja de color plateado en la parte superior de la cabeza. La parte inferior de su cuerpo es blanca con una franja de color plateado en el pecho. Sus ojos son de color marrón.

Según la investigación ellos se alimentan principalmente de néctar y pequeños insectos, como mosquitos y moscas. Se les puede encontrar en una variedad de áreas con una abundancia de flores, incluyendo selvas tropicales y subtropicales, bosques de montaña y desiertos. Esta especie de colibrí es una migratoria nocturna, lo que significa que se mueven entre Norteamérica, Centroamérica y el sur de México durante la noche.

A principio me fue un poco difícil de lograr tomar varias fotografía porque ello son muy pequeños he inquietos con su gran velocidad al volar pero me arme de paciencia y usando el Zoom de mi cámara logre captar en su movimiento muy buenas imágenes y hoy con gusto se las comparto a todos ustedes.
