The Prettiest Way Into Town

I decided to pop into my local town, but I parked behind the town park as it’s free!

We are having a mini summer at the moment, with bright sunshine and very warm air.

The children’s little train was just doing a circular ride around the park. It had to sound the horn as there were Canada geese and ducks on the track. Nobody wants a flattened bird!

For some reason, I decided to go a different way over the bridge. I don't like heights so it wasn't a nice experience!

I always think this is a nice view looking up to our local town hall.

Just on the outskirts of town there is a wildflower section. It was looking particularly pretty in the sun, with lots of mainly purple flowers.

In the photo, is a metal sculpture. According to the council's website, apprentices at Franke Sissons Ltd worked with Parkside School students to design it. It consists of three cube frames showing nature, industry, and community as symbols of the town. I really like these pockets of colourful wild flowers. They really brighten up dull areas.

I was glad to get back to the car because it was getting a bit too hot to walk around in.

The image of the children's little train having to honk its horn at stubborn Canada geese and ducks is brilliant! Geese definitely own the paths wherever they go, so it’s good to hear the train driver was on high alert. Nobody wants a flattened bird indeed!
I held my breath but all the geese were safe! 🙂
