Nature Walk: Featuring Blossom, a Ladybird but an Absence of Butterflies

I popped down to the local nature reserve to see if there were any butterflies. Unfortunately, it was a bit overcast down there, so I hardly saw any at all. I did spot a ladybird, which was much easier to photograph.

I carried on with a circular walk. Even though there was a lack of butterflies, the walk was still pretty, with the blossom, overhanging trees, and gorse bushes.

It was funny that there was just one red berry on the hawthorn bush, standing out among the white blossom.

At the very last minute, from a distance, I spotted a butterfly on a dandelion. I couldn’t get close to it, though, as it would have flown off. I will have to return another day.

As I got back home, I spotted the ducks basking in the sun that had come out, while keeping one eye on me. I did carry on walking around the park, but still no butterflies.
