Horses, Robins and Squirrels on My Wednesday Walk

While I’m cat and house sitting for a friend, I have been getting out for a little walk around the area each day. Today, for my #wednesdaywalk initiated by @tattoodjay, I started off near the horse's field to walk up to the village park. Can you spot the little robin on the ground?

Today, the weather was much better. It was still warm, but not as hot as it has been lately, which was a relief. I still found myself stopping in the shade now and then to cool down for a few minutes.

As I walked along the footpath by the park, there was lots of cow parsley growing at the side.

Can you spot the squirrel? It stayed there for a while listening out for me. Unfortunately, I needed to go through this entrance so the squirrel finally ran off.

The park itself was quiet, after the bank holiday, with only a few people out enjoying the cooler weather.

I also decided to do a small litter pick while I was there. I spotted a few empty bottles lying near the park benches. With all the hot weather we’ve had recently, I honestly expected to find much more rubbish, so it was nice to see the park looking fairly clean overall.
