Fungi Friday: Mushroom Mania

I've been walking in a couple of woods this week and couldn't believe how many fly agerics and other fungi I found.

I usually find the fly agerics growing near to pine trees and birch trees.

It was hard to pick my favourites. My cup runneth over with fungi!

I found these growing on a fallen branch. I had to climb over lots of brambles to get close enough to take a photo. A man on a horse rode past and said good morning to me as though it was perfectly normal to find someone standing in the middle of some brambles.

I do find these very photogenic next to the lovely green lichen.

Fungi come in all shapes, sizes and colours. There is such a lot of variety. I'm hoping in the coming months we will get a lot more. It makes a nice walk much more interesting.

This is my contribution to #fungifriday by @ewkaw.

Hello Mr. @ellenripley

Your photographs are very colorful and beautiful; you've taken excellent shots.

I like how the colorful mushrooms stand out next to the moss.

The species you found are excellent
