Fungi Friday: A Feast of Fungi

Searching and photographing fungi is quite a nice little hobby. It certainly encourages you to get out even if it's raining.

I find them really fascinating. I've found all sorts of sizes this week, some were quite diddy.

When I'm out in the woods, I look for fungi on rotten logs or just in the mossy areas on the floor. These were actually growing on the bottom of the tree trunk.

I've also spotted several in people's gardens which didn't surprise me after all the rain we've had. I try not to disturb the fungi as it doesn't take much for them to fall over.

I found these under the hedge. I had to explain to a passerby what I was doing as I had my backside in the air, fighting my way through the undergrowth.

This one was my favoutite as it had an unusual shape.

This tree stump was literally being surrounded by fungi.

Another good week!
