Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 157

Sitting in your car in the rain taking photographs of birds is highly recommended. Today, we saw a lovely wren visit the wall where passers-by leave seed or suet pellets for the birds.

This is my entry to Show Me a Picture of Bird - Free Theme, Round 157.

The wren isn't a frequent visitor, so it was good that it had returned.

Of course, it wouldn't be the same without a robin. Thankfully, there weren't too many about today so the other birds got a chance to eat.

I put a few extra bits of seed on the wooden post, and a very fluffy chaffinch came down and stood on one leg for a while ... as you do.

I find blue tits quite difficult to photograph as they never stop still long enough. At least I managed to get one photo from a morning's sitting!

The blackbird finished the last bits of seed off. I don't like to sit for ages waiting for birds to turn up. It is ideal here as the birds will come and feed more or less straightaway, even before you've got back into your car. It's just perfect for impatient people. 🙂

Thank you to @nelinoeva and the #featheredfriends team for running the contest.

Nice birds! They are so well fed! Good thing there are no cats around!

The birds are safe in the middle of the countryside. I'd worry if I saw a cat up there. 😁

Busy buffet😄
The wren is very vocal, I am impressed how loud it can be.
The Blue Tit is indeed very quick. I like to watch them hanging upside down while feeding.
All photos are stunning, Thank you again for your delightful post.
