Coffee at Sherwood Pines

This morning, we decided to pay a visit to the café in Sherwood Pines, located in Nottinghamshire. This forest is one of the largest in my area, boasting a wide variety of activities for visitors to enjoy. The café itself was surrounded by trees with a lovely smell of pine in the air. It was the perfect setting.

It looked like the local hell's angels were in town. 😁

Unfortunately, inside was quite busy and we couldn't see any free tables. Inside wasn't dog friendly either, apart from assistance dogs and you're not allowed to stroke them without the owner's permission as they are working dogs.

The flapjacks looked inviting, though, but at £3.25 for a tiny slice I decided not to buy any. I'd want a whole cake for that amount of money!

To get served quicker, we decided to go outside and get served at the hatch. There were outside heaters, so it wasn't too cold.

The black americano and latte wasn't anything special, but after a long walk, it still tasted like nectar. At least mine was frothy.

It was good to see regular dogs out there too. I prefer the company of dogs over people sometimes.

The scenery wasn't too bad either. We timed our visit well as it started to rain just after we'd finished our coffees.
