CCC's Street Art Contest #293 - Derelict Factory

The last time I ventured up to the derelict factory, it was very windy, and it was far too dangerous to enter the buildings. I could hear the metal roof (what is left of it) banging in the wind. I was too concerned that something might fall on me, so I waited until today, when the sun was out and it was pretty calm day. I love animals, so I think this new artwork is my favourite.

I took this photo to show you the scale of the building, although it’s a lot larger than this.

I like these pieces as well. I enjoy taking photos, since the artwork will be covered in a few weeks by something new and lost forever. As I walk around, I have to remind myself that pigeons live here. They have a habit of making you jump when they suddenly fly out. It’s a bit Alfred Hitchcock–esque. When you’re on your own, your imagination goes into overdrive!

This artwork included the text “PICNIC LIFE.” I don’t always name the artists, as some share the same tag but live in different areas, or they abbreviate their names. I’d rather say “unknown artist” than get it wrong.

Thank you to @digi-me, @heroldius for running the CCC's Street Art Contest #293.

It's great that you were able to go back into that building. I understand the reason for waiting for a nice, windless day; it's less stressful, especially if the pigeons are "mischievous" 😀. Always great works especially the cart and the girl. Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.

Have a beautiful day
