A Spin Around Town (Without Getting On)

I nipped into my local town this morning to check out the big wheel that’s there. My hometown used to be a vibrant market town, complete with cobblestones. Unfortunately, things have changed, with high rents and high car parking charges, shops have either closed or moved to retail parks where parking is free. It was early in the morning and, being a Sunday, it was even less busy.

There were also a couple of other fairground rides. Nothing too exciting, though. I noticed they charge £5 per ride. I’m not sure how long the ride lasts, but for that much I’d want to be on it all morning! I just don’t know how families can afford it.

I found the big wheel. Actually, it was hard to miss. It does bring people into the town, though, so that's a positive.

It's not something I'd go on, as I don’t like heights.

It was quite chilly and overcast, so I didn't stick around for too long. It just gave me the opportunity to try out my new phone. Well, it's not new, it's a refurbished one, but it's new to me!
