A Gentle Wander through the 10 Acre Wood
This weekend may be my last chance to enjoy sunny weather, as rain is forecasted for next week. With that in mind, I decided to take a walk in the 10 Acre Wood that runs alongside the golf course. The entrance to the wood is on a busy main road, so I had to be careful walking down the road due to both the speeding traffic and the lack of pavement.
This walk is a circular route that is mostly flat, making it ideal for a nice stroll. The path is lined with gnarled trees that perhaps have seen better days.
Some of the wood is private but I just kept to the main public footpath. While walking along, I noticed some pretty wood anemones.
While the photo doesn’t capture it well, there was a big drop just beyond where I stood. I made sure to keep my distance from the edge because I've seen too many horror films where someone gets too close and ends up plummeting down into the abyss! 😁
In the distance, the yellow gorse bushes dotted the landscape. They looked really nice against the lush green fields and the cloudless blue sky. Although it was a short walk, it was still an interesting one.
What a good vibe the forest has! After the rains there will be even more greenery.
Greetings!
Thank you. Yes, rain coming soon! 🙂
