A Fallen Tree: Nature’s Way of Telling Me to Go Back to Bed!

On the way to one of my favourite walks, I thought it's a good job I have a small car. It was quite windy this morning and a tree had fallen over the road. I just managed to squeeze underneath. My car is old, so I didn't mind it having a few scratches on the paintwork.

Surprisingly, it was a lot calmer in the woods. I still looked up now and again to make sure I was safe from falling branches. I suspect if one were to fall, by the time I noticed it, it would be too late.

I waited for this cyclist to pass before I carried on along the path. He's going to have a surprise when he gets back onto the road. The wind might blow him over.

The air was quite mild in the woods, although still fresh from the wind. Apart from the wind in the trees, it was quiet, with nobody about. Not even the birds were singing.

It was getting dark over yonder. I thought it would be nice to live in a house surrounded by the countryside. I timed my walk just right as it started to rain the moment I got back to my car.

Beautiful. It reminds me of the forest and heath down near Wareham, Dorset. Perhaps the gorse and pine trees.

Yes, I think I've been there. Just need some colour.
