It’s The Last Day!…….My Actifit Report Card: August 22 2026
Happy Caturday everybody! 😻
Today is the last day of the Northwest Washington Fair. I’m sure it’s been an exciting and exhausting 10 days for all of the participants who were there every day. The animals too. 🥱
It rained today which got me to thinking about where those who chose to go today, might seek shelter. It wasn’t a light rain-nope, it was a downpour with huge raindrops! We were heading to Bellingham and went through Lynden and by the back gates of the fair. It was far more packed than I expected! Fortunately for the fair goers, it didn’t last but much more than 30 minutes or so.
Ironically, Bellingham was crowded as well. I’d not seen crowds like today’s at Walmart in quite some time. Perhaps it’s due to school starting this week. Yep-it’s THAT time of year again! 📚✂️✏️🚌📓
So here’s my last installment of my fair adventure.
This cute goat wanted to get some cooler air from the fan.
There are many shows to see and this group who were cloggers or modern day tap dancers, involved the kids. It was a good show!
Quilts are always showcased and there are many talented quilters in the area. Here are three that spoke to me.
This one was spectacular and made me think of my Hive sis @kerrislravenhill!

If you’ve a mind to need more of the fair, you can always steal across the border to British Columbia and attend the PNE which started today and runs for two weeks. I’ve never been, but who knows?…..maybe someday I will!

'Sigh.' The PNE used to have a great Community Arts exposition that was indefinitely cancelled some years ago when the building that housed the big BC Map display and venue for the Exposition was torn down. Crafts got moved to another place but the exposition was never the same.
I still have my Roommate's quilt that her Aunt made for her.
I just couldn't donate it to the Salvation Army Thrift shop.

Looks like it was a good fair can't believe it was for 10 days, we had one and it lasted a day and completely sucked as it was just a money grab really nothing more.
