Church-At The Barn! 😇………… My Actifit Report Card: July 26 2026

Today’s church service was held at the Wiggins barn. Originally, we were to have outdoor services at Riverside Park, however Mother Nature had other plans as it was raining! Hence, plan B. 😎

This barn is a hundred years or so old and is used for weddings, gatherings and our annual church picnic, which by the way will take place next month. 😁

The service was packed as instead of our usual two services, today’s was rolled into one. Despite not having the screen with the lyrics to the songs, the whole congregation knew them! Pretty amazing! The sermon was good as always.

Then afterwards, some good natured fun was happening.

The church has purchased land that ironically backs up to the goat pens on the Wiggins Farm. The view in that previous photo. Anyway, as a fund raiser, pastor Alissa was first in the dunk tank!

You could purchase softballs to throw as the bullseye target. The kids-even the really young ones, were pretty good at hitting it. Occasionally, one would hit it and the lever would not release-but never fear! Worship leader and Pastor Rachel fixed that problem right away!

The water was cold!

Next up-Youth Pastor Caleb!

Pastor Kyle was wanting to help him out! Ironically, Rachel to the rescue!

You can tell she was enjoying herself immensely! 🤣

Next…..guess who?

It was Rachel’s turn!

Rachel and Kyle are married and I was surprised to see neither was responsible for dunking the other! Hmmmmm…….perhaps a pre-dunking agreement! Now, it’s Pastor Kyle’s turn!

Of the four dunkees, Caleb was the most dunked as apparently the youth had it in for him, lol! All in all, well over $1000 was raised! Not bad for an hour’s worth of dunking. It was a lot of fun. Our church family is awesome!

It’s still raining here so not much going on. I’ve got work tomorrow-not my usual day, and we are fully booked with the doc. I won’t be working Friday as Bill is bringing Phoenix up to stay while the family goes to see the Hungarian side of the family for a couple weeks, in Hungary.

That’s it for today. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌏🙏

BSB 1Peter 4:10-11

As good stewards of the manifold grace of God, each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve one another. If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

🙏🌹

At least you ended a weekend with a lot of fun.
My little church used to participate in a Community Day every June but that ended after the pandemic. Sad.
