Row, Row, Row Your Boat…….My Actifit Report Card: March 18 2026

Row, row, row your boat! Well, I’m hoping it doesn’t come to that, but boy is it looking like it could! The Nooksack River flows close to the town of Everson with a history of having 100 year floods in as little as 4 years, or if it floods this time, we’re only talking 3 months! 😳 This screenshot is from my iPhone’s weather app.

So, I’ve got a plan in place for my work: when the river hits 82’, it’s time to get files moved as well as electronics and other things. If it gets to 83’ which is flood stage, it’s time to go home! This is a screenshot from the USGS NOAA River levels website as of 6:50 OM tonight:

We’ve had some lulls in the storm this afternoon and I’m hopeful perhaps this will keep it from actually flooding. However, the forecast calls for more of the same tonight, tomorrow and Friday. If the rain amounts to what they’re anticipating, well then , here we go again! We could sure use prayers for as much as the residents and businesses of Everson, Nooksack and Sumas have been through already, how do you emotionally survive yet another 100 year flood mere months from the last one? This would make the 3rd such flood in 5 years! Too much! 🫣

Work has been insanely busy! Tomorrow (flood not withstanding) is looking to be just as busy for me. I just lately, need two of me-one for the front office and one for the back office. If only that were possible! I’ll deal with it all the best I can. 🙃

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? So if you cannot do such a small thing, why do you worry about the rest?
Consider how the lilies grow: They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith!
And do not be concerned about what you will eat or drink. Do not worry about it. For the Gentiles of the world strive after all these things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added unto you.
