Our day began a little later as I did sleep in some. Once we were up and started, I did a few housework things while @silvertop did his stuff. Then we headed out to Lynden City Park.

The day started out sunny albeit just a bit cold. There was a good Nor’easter a blowin’ and despite the sun, it wasn’t warm at all! 🥶 I was happy I had a thermal shirt on, a fleece jacket and a fleece vest!

There was an amazing amount of fall color still around despite the 3” of rain over the past days and the wind that went with it!

It’s really too bad the wind made it a bit uncomfortable. We enjoyed the hike regardless!

Later in our trek, the clouds began rolling in. I spied this airplane and zoomed in for the picture.

We decided to turn back as we’d reached a certain open part of the trail that had us hiking into the Nor’easter wind. It wasn’t pleasant. Once back to the car, we headed into Lynden to our favorite Starbucks for refreshments! They’ve released the Christmas cups and the menus boards are a lovely shade of red as well as the aprons worn by the baristas.

The Christmas decorations are springing up everywhere-I saw a tree lit and decorated inside a local restaurant owner’s home on the way home from work last night! I believe that everyone is seeking a little bit of early Christmas cheer around these parts.
