The Last Of The Blooms…….My Actifit Report Card: October 14 2025

Yes, summer is gone and fall is definitely here! Some of my pansies though have not gotten the memo, however they are hardy and I’ve seen them bloom into January before! 💪

I had ladies Bible study today-a continuance of the study of the Book of James. It’s interesting to me how this ties in so well with last Sunday’s sermon. Keep in mind the church I attend doesn’t have a Bible study that fits my schedule. I’ve been attending one from a previous church since 2015, so they have no ties to one another. That’s why I find it interesting how the Sunday sermon and this study have so much in common!

Once home, I commenced to roasting coffee for a long time customer who now resides in Rhode Island. When finished, I boxed it up, created the shipping label and went to the post office.

This black walnut tree resides up on the hill close to my garden. It’s one of the last trees to turn in the fall. As you can see, it’s still quite green.

The blood good Japanese maple has not gotten its crimson leaves for fall just yet. With the sun shining through them, you might think so…….

….but when you look closer, you see it isn’t so…..just yet. It will turn eventually.

It’s also interesting the green edge the leaves have at this stage.

Here’s another Japanese maple, again holding out for its color.

The cedar trees and the pine trees, although evergreen, still drop needles and boughs. They turn a golden brown and hang onto the trees until rain or wind knocks them off.

The pine trees are easier to lose them as they don’t have a lot of strength left once they turn. The cedars are a bit tougher.

The holy tree is ready for Christmas already!

Fall however, is just gearing up and could run on into late November or early December!

For now, the pumpkins are prevalent as are fall harvest decorations.
