Beautiful Sunday-Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀………My Actifit Report Card: March 17 2024
HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY EVERYONE! 🍀 Our beautiful Sunday began at church this morning. Pastor Kyle gave a wonderful sermon on going into the world to make disciples and how we are to treat all people. It kind of made you stop and assess how you are living your life. 😇
Once home, we turned around and went to Costco to purchase a lawnmower battery for our gate opener only to discover they didn’t have any and the guy at the automotive side said it looked like they hadn’t even been ordered yet! 🙀 Hmmmmmm……. So we went to Walmart to get one only to find what 2 years ago was a $39 battery was looking more like over $100! 🙀 So we shelved that purchase and got some special food for Cyle and went to Winco to get some produce and whatnot.
Then since I had enough points for a free coffee, we stopped at Starbucks on the way home. I texted Jan and we all set out for a late afternoon hike. I was only going to the pond today as my hip was worse today than yesterday. There’s a fine line between not doing enough and doing too much. I’m trying to figure that out.

Yesterday, we had sun streaming in the skylight and I found Cot with a piece of paper reserved for fire starter just ripping and tearing! He was having great fun!
Cyle spent his day napping. 😴
That’s it for today. The weather has been beautiful and will continue until along about Wednesday when the rain is due back. Our first taste of summer! Take care and have a blessed week ahead! 🙏🇮🇱🇺🇦

It seems that your Pastor Kyle gives very good sermons! It's wonderful when you have one like him for your church! And... your Sundays is as busy as your workdays, hehehe!

Seems like the price of everything has been artificially driven up, hope you find a battery for your gate. That cone on the tree looks like a deodara or one of the cedars in the family. Pastor Kyle sounds like a really good pastor.

Prices are definitely going up and unfortunately, I guess we will all have to deal with it.
Where the pine cone was, there aren't any Deodara trees around there. These are fir tree pine cones; the ground was littered with them, leftover from fall as last year was such a dry year. They all tended to fall off in droves. What's odd though, is everything seems 'crunchy' even though we've had a lot of rain. I'm hoping for not such a hot summer this year. We could use a break!
Pastor Kyle is awesome, and his wife Rachel, leads the worship team. They do very well and make a great team!

The way prices are constantly changing these days is really alarming. Unfortunately, even if we shelve some purchases for now, we still have to make them especially if they are necessary.

Prices are indeed crazy and I suspect it's only going to get worse! When I have to put gas in the car, I don't even look because I have to do it. Groceries are kind of the same way; I just purchase what we need and resign myself to whatever the cost is.
Thank you about the hip; I'm trying to see if food choices can reduce the inflammation and if not, eventually, I will have to cave and go to the doc.
