Visiting the City-state of Singapore
Hey everyone, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new post and hope you have a week so far that has brought some interesting experiences into your life! In this article I would like to share with you some experiences that I made during my time in Singapore and I am happy if you appreciate my blog.

I spent a good week in Singapore and was even there to celebrate the Chinese New Year, which was an extremely interesting experience for me to go so deeply into this diverse culture. I travelled to Singapore together with other countries during my time in Southeast Asia and already when I arrived there, I was amazed by the highly developed infrastructure and although it is a relatively small country, it belongs to the top when it comes to economy, finance and technology. There is such a good quality of life there as rarely in any other place and when I walked through the city it was difficult to see a chewing gum or garbage on the streets and everything looks extremely clean which can also be traced back to the fact that Singapore is very strict in this regard.

Singapore is also full of green areas and everywhere can be green areas seen and this is even the case at the airport where there is a botanical garden and a waterfall and when it comes to creating future-oriented parks, Singapore is far ahead. During my stay I also visited the well-known Garden of the Bay in which a show takes place every night and here I even celebrated the Chinese New Year and here there was a large firework in the evening which was lit after a speech by a politician but it quickly dissolved which is why I went further to Chinatown where there was much more going on. I also liked the for Canning Park very much which is also historically extremely important and tells a lot about the colonial era and here there was so much to see why it can be worth a half-day trip. Singapore is full of museums and I have also visited a total of five museums there about which I will probably share even more in the future and it was very important for me to get to know the diversity of the different population groups, which is why a visit to Chinatown, Little India and Arab could not be missed and a lot of time can be spent there.
From Singapur it is also a good idea to make a day trip to Indonesia or Malaysia, but it's essential to fill out the arrival card because otherwise there may be problems to enter Singapore again and I have also heard that some problems with the visa, so this must be planned a little in advance. There are also several islands near Singapore, of which Sentosa is probably the most famous, but much has been artificially created here, which is why it's not interesting for everyone, but everyone who is here longer should do day trips here! It's also worth mentioning how multicultural the city-state is because so many different population groups live together here and mainly Chinese, Indians or people from Malaysia live here, which is right next door. Pretty much everyone here speaks English just like Mandarin Chinese, although it's common to use English when it comes to official purposes.

The public transport works here just perfectly just like Grab and typical is also to visit so-called Hawker Centres which sell a lot of traditional food and this part of the culture has even managed to make it a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Singapore was also one of the few countries that fought hard despite the COVID pandemic and this can be attributed in particular to good organisation, speed and perfect communication with each other. Through clear rules and a lot of discipline, Singapore has proven how it goes when it comes to crisis management and I personally find this remarkable, especially when compared to other countries in which exactly the opposite was the case. Singapore really amazed me and it can rightly describe it as one of the most developed countries and was a unique experience for me to gather so many new impressions and to be able to learn so many things.
Many thanks for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new and like my post and appreciate my effort! I captured these pictures with my Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm and iPhone 16.

Hey @elevator09 you are welcome.
Thanks for using @worldmappin 😘
What a beautiful place! You timed it perfectly for Chinese New Year, a great move obviously. I've never been there but hear that it is lovely to visit. Maybe one of these days. Nice tip about the visa, never travel anywhere without getting that all arranged in advance makes the trip much more pleasant!
You took so many great pictures in the week you were there. I can only imagine how many others you have that didn't make into the post! Thank you for sharing some highlights from your trip @elevator09 !
Awesome post!
Happy Chinese new year! May the year of the fire horse be with you :)
Thanks also for the kind words, I hope you also make it to Singapore and that’s so true with the Visa. Some countries didn’t need it at all, which makes it ofc easier, but I met someone for example, who told me that there could be difficulties. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to Indonesia, which would have been interesting. If you should travel there, let me know in Discord, I can give you some advice dear @thebighigg
those building in the night are impressive, it seems a sort of asian dubai! lot of tech
Oh yes you can say that out loud, Singapore is so highly developed, it’s admirable.
