The Mysterious Runes
Hey dear community, at the beginning I would like to welcome you all to my new contribution and hope you had a week which was full of interesting experiences! In my new contribution, I would like to go into detail on an important topic and hope you are able to expand your knowledge.
Runes are also characters from the time of the ancient Germanics and one of the few remnants which still exist because much of this culture has disappeared and when exactly the first runes were created often leaves many questions open and some experts are guessing that runes were already created a thousands of years ago. Runes have left deep traces in Europe where they have developed from the 1st century more and more and over the centuries, a whole alphabet has emerged from it and were associated with mysticism or hidden knowledge in addition to the function as writing and each of the 24 runes had its own meaning and were often associated with magical powers or used as oracles. The ancient Germanics probably carved these symbols in stone and later artefacts made of wood were also found in which runes could be seen and it is suspected that the Germanics used these to look into the future or to prophesy the fate of people and also deep in mythology are runes anchored and connected with the cult of the gods and also in Norse mythology, according to legends, runes even existed long before the main god Odin and according to other interpretations he is also considered the creator of this mysterious symbols and in mythology, runes are also associated with creative powers or the chaos. Runes are often put in a bad light by some people because they are abused in certain times of humanity, but if you look at the real history behind the runes, some comparisons are not fair and the old Germanics can't do anything about the fact that the runes got a bad reputation in later times and the millennia-old history is often ignored. In general, the ancient Germanic tribes are considered very mysterious people about which unfortunately much has disappeared and they were also very well known for their medical knowledge and can also be described as old high culture and I am pleased to go into more detail on the runes in this article.
