The Ecological benefits of Campanula

Hey dear Hiveans, first of all I would like to wish you all a good day and hope you are all well! Today I would like to talk about the ecological benefits of a plant and hope you can expand your knowledge a little.

This enchanting violet flowers are also known as bellflower or scientifically campanula and there are over 300 different species and all of them are insect friendly. Bellflowers are considered easy to care for, robust and prefer to grow on nutrient-rich soils and it is extremely adaptable when it comes to the location. In wild form, it usually grows on the edge of forests and it is hardy and does not require special protection against frost and is particularly interesting due to the long flowering period that lasts from May to October. It is also well suited for beginners and is highly recommended for anyone who wants to make their garden ecologically valuable and many species of bees and other insects find plenty of food here and cultivating makes a valuable contribution when it comes to nature conservation. There are some species of wild bees that specialize exclusively in bellflowers and these include some species of the genus Chelostoma and the flowers also offer some insects a place to sleep at the same time. Many other insects also find a good source of food here such as bumblebees, caterpillars, butterflies and more and is also extremely easy to reproduce and is also a great enrichment for gardens due to the intense colors.
