The Artist Pablo Picasso
Hey dear community, I hope you all have a great day that has brought some interesting experiences into your life! In this article, I would like to talk about art history and hope you are able to expand your knowledge.
You can see here are works by the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso (1881 - 1973) who was born in the city of Málaga and already from his father he inherited some of the artistic talent who worked as a drawing teacher and already in his early childhood, he taught him a lot about art and taught him the most important basics. Picasso was firmly convinced that he would work as an artist and already at the age of ten, he attended an art school and was always supported by his family on his way and his first great works were already created during his youth and his talent was admired from various sides and considered a prodigy of art. In 1896 he decided to go to Barcelona to attend an art school where he also made some contacts with other artists and later he also became a member of an artist group and to expand his horizons, he later went to France to the capital Paris. This was also the time when he made a name for himself more and more as an artist and signed his works with the name Picasso and his work can be divided into different periods and his first known was also known as the blue period which was characterized by blue tones and as motifs he mainly chose themes such as poverty and motherhood and the trigger for the development of this period was a tragic experience in his life.
He traveled regularly to Paris which became his new favorite city and later decided to take a foothold there and from 1904 he decided to change his style again and began the so-called pink period in which he devoted himself to new topics and at the beginning he often exhibited his works in the group and during the pink period, some solo exhibitions were to follow. He can be considered one of the most influential artists of his time and he was very diverse and tried new styles throughout his life and it can be said that he was dedicated to art and was very revolutionary, he is also considered a co-founder of the art epoch of Cubism. For many years he remained faithful to Cubism and developed it together with other artists until he later decided to devote himself to classicism and was inspired a lot by French artists and later he was also more and more inspired by mythological themes or ancient personalities. Over time, he became one of the most famous artists in France and enjoyed great fame and even during the war he stayed in France and continued to paint and during this time he mainly painted scenes that fit this time such as suffering or warlike scenes and later you could always recognize changes in the style and he became active as an artist in many ways and decided to try new things and also made some ceramics, sculptures or other objects and he can not be considered one of the most famous artists without reason.
