Here you can see a work of art by Lyonel Feininger (1871 - 1956) in which he depicted walkers and in addition to his painting he also had a passion for graphics or photography and he can also be regarded as one of the most important artists of classical modernism. He was born as the son of a singer in the American city of New York and in his youth he moved to Germany with his family and there he already began to be very interested in art and took the first lessons as a draughtsman and already before that he was shaped by his father who had taught him to play the violin and later he attended an art academy in Berlin. He was a very sought-after artist early on and made drawings for various newspapers and was already considered a very popular artist in his early years and he also loved to travel where he was inspired and later, he decided to go to Paris where he continued his studies as an artist. After his time in France, he went back to Germany where he had lived in the city of Berlin and in 1901 he married his wife, but the marriage did not go very well and a few years later the two separated and in the coming years he was very busy with his family life and brought children into the world. He was drawn back to Paris where he was inspired by some artists and he himself was also a lot in artistic circles and a member of some groups such as the Berlin Secession and he also made contact with the artists of the Blue Rider and he also often exhibited his works with other artists and he had his first major solo exhibition relatively late. Later he also opened his own group of artists which were to be called the Blue Four and in his late times during war, his art was strongly suppressed and some of his works were even destroyed and he decided to go back to America, where he temporarily also shared his knowledge of art and became a teacher and in New York he changed his art style and oriented himself more to motifs of the city and regularly visits exhibitions there.
