The Architecture of London
Hey dear community, at the beginning I would like to welcome you all to my new post and hope you have a amazing day that has brought many interesting experiences into your life! In this post I would like to share some moments of my London trip and especially focus on the architecture.
When I was in London I took a boat trip on the Thames which in any case turned out to be a unique experience because in this way I could explore the diversity of architectural masterpieces. Very special are the different epochs which meet here and from medieval to modern buildings everything can be found and this enormous diversity makes London a very great location from this point of view. The boat trip took a little over an hour which was enough for me to see the skyline and was also lucky that I was not alone, but with a friend who could tell me a lot about the buildings because he knows London well. From young to star architects there is a lot to be found here and some of the buildings are not only a visual eye-catcher but also built in such a way that they should attach special importance to the environment and for these purposes some concepts and construction methods were used which can not be found everywhere.
Some of the buildings are famous worldwide and especially the different eras that can be found here also stand out and it can be seen that the construction has developed from baroque to high-tech. Most of the old buildings date back to the Baroque period and were built during the 17th century when many burned-out and were rebuilt later and a catastrophe that is to be mentioned in this context was the great fire during this time which schocked all of London. This fire even led to the fact that a large part of the city center burned down which later had to be rebuilt and the next great time that should follow after the Baroque as well as the new construction was the Georgian style.
During this time, many houses were created in a uniform style, which were often lined up in a row and were supposed to convince with their elegance, and the next breakthrough came with the Victorian epoch, which meant that the houses all seemed much more detailed. During the 20th century, there was a breakthrough in London and more styles were presented such as the Art Nouveau, Art Deco and many other modern movements within the art scene and it is also very important to know that a large part of the buildings are still under special monument conservation and the city is strongly committed to protecting the architecture.
Many thanks for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new and like my post and appreciate my effort! I captured these pictures with my Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm.

All the citizenships, all the countries that exist are my dreams because I also want to visit them one day in the same way and see every historical place that I have been looking at on the internet.
