My Trip to the Moco Museum Amsterdam

Hey everyone, at the beginning I would like to welcome you all to my new post and hope you also have a great start to the new weekend! In my new post I would like to share something about Eibe experience which I made in Amsterdam and hope you like the article.

When I visited the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, I was already able to make some positive experiences and study the art of the Dutch school better. Actually, I wanted to go to the well-known van Gogh museum afterwards, but a reservation is needed for this and due to the enormous run-up, it should be remembered to reserve a week in advance because otherwise it's completely fully booked. In the immediate vicinity I was able to find another museum which is also known under the name Moco Museum which exhibits in the collection many works of art of modern artists, including some well-known names such as Banksy or Andy Warhol. The visit does not require so much time and I was already done with the visit in less than an hour and also the price is a bit steep at 20€, but it must also be said that it is a private museum which is usually always much more expensive prices. No reservation is required here and to arouse interest, you can first visit the garden in which some works of art are already exhibited and consider whether you want to go inside. Even if I liked some works of art, I am generally not a big fan of this type of art, but I definitely wanted to give it the chance and promote art a bit with my visit because in addition to the exhibited works, the operators provide a lot of information when it comes to art and the goal was to create a form of the international platform of art.

Even if a large part of the works consists of modern art, the building is an old one which is also known as Alsberg and was built at the beginning of the 20th century. The museum is relatively new and was only opened in 2016 and it is not the only one of its kind and the operators were also creative in London or Barcelona and also here old buildings were selected to house the museum there. Some works of art are really unusual and there are also some familiar faces to see here as in the artwork that represents Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and also some well-known works of Banksy are exhibited here. The artist Andy Warhol was already known to me and next to Banksy this is probably one of the most prominent artists who are represented here and I was also very happy to get to know some new ones. In part, the museum is also immersive and even if the museum is more for younger people, I would say that a visit can be worthwhile and for those who should be nearby, it can also be worthwhile to combine the Rijksmuseum with a visit here.

That is very cool! Not my style of art either to be honest, but still some great works of art. Private museums to tend to cost a lot more don't they? I guess they have to because it's not cheap to run one. Great pictures and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Europe just has so much great art that we don't see over in the America's except in a few nice museums!
