Most Famous Works of Hephaestus
Good day dear Hive Community, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new post and hope you had a day full of positive experiences! In this post, I have decided to go into Greek mythology and hope you can expand your knowledge a little.
Here are some pictures plus works of art that I have created with the help of artificial intelligence and specifically I would like to talk about the god of fire and the blacksmiths Hephaestus who was known to have created magical works and I would like to discuss some of them in this post. When gods needed weapons or armor, they turned to him and he created works that had supernatural abilities such as the well-known trident of the sea god Poseidon with which he could trigger floods, create sources, soothe seas and much more. Nothing was impossible for Hephaestus and he could even create an artificial woman like Pandora, which at the time Zeus used as a weapon to take revenge on Prometheus after he had stolen fire from the gods in Olympus and this was not the first time he created an artificial human and he also made two servants of gold. In another legend, he even created a giant of bronze who had the task of guarding the island of Crete and he even created fire-breathing bulls in a legend. Even the well-known god Helios, who was considered the personification of the sun, came to him one day and asked him to create a chariot and his most important task would not be possible without him, to give people a light during the day and to control the sun. Very well known are probably also the works he created on behalf of Thetis, who needed armor and weapons for her son Achilles, who also plays an important role in the Trojan war and was revered as a heroic asset and the scene where Hephaestus hands over the weapons to thetis is also often depicted in the visual arts and in one oft the following pictures you can see of it.
He also created the well-known arrows as well as the bow of some gods as for eros with which he could shoot an arrow so that people fell in love or for Apollo and also for his sister Artemis who is known as the goddesses of hunting, he created arrows and bows. One of his best-known works is also the lightning of Zeus with which he could control the weather and he could generate lightning with the help of this weapon and when the people saw it in the sky they knew that Zeus had triggered it. He also created the armor of the war god Ares and also for the goddess of love Aphrodite as well as the goddess of wisdom Athena he wishes and one thing is certain, he could create pretty much everything that was needed and the creative was given free rein and nothing was impossible for Hephaestus. These were only a few of his famous works and he still appears in numerous other legends and as already mentioned in another article, he had his workshop in the underground in a volcano and when it was active, people thought that he was just doing his work and often he also got support from the Cyclopes and also Bia and Kratos often appear as his helpers and in general, he or his works appear often in Greek mythology.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new about art! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens and created the other with AI!
Here outside of the post, I want to wish you a happy new year, blessings for you and your family.
A hug
